Lydia Kathryn Elyse Peterson has always had a plan for herself. She was always an artsy person. She grew up loving to draw and paint. And she was good at it. She knew she wanted to major in fine arts once she reached high school. Something her father mentioned reminded him of her mother, who was an artist. Lydia sadly never knew her mom, who died within hours of giving birth to her first and only child. Her father, heartbroken and wanting to hold onto his wife, added her name, Kathryn, as one of Lydia's middle names, something she will forever be grateful for. Her mom's art was hanging throughout the house and Lydia used it as inspiration.

It was always just Lydia and her father, Mark, growing up. After her mom passed, her dad couldn't bring himself to date anyone else. Being a single dad for Mark was tough enough, he couldn't begin to imagine worrying about someone other than Lydia. Lydia is Mark's baby girl and she always will be. Their relationship is as strong as ever and they are as close as they can be.

Lydia's father works at a local business, your standard 9-5, where he met Michael Reynolds 14 years ago. The two instantly became friends, meaning that Lydia and Mcihael's daughter, Sadie, were destined to be best friends. And they have been since they were 3. They're inseparable and do anything and everything together.

Once Lydia started high school, she tried out photography and fell in love instantly. The following semester, her father had gotten Lydia her very own camera and she joined the yearbook club. By her sophomore year, she was the school's top photographer and editor. She attended every school event and every home sports game. Taking pictures was something that brought Lydia joy. She was always editing and posting the pictures she had taken. She was always supportive and in good team spirits when posting and talking about the team. She loves what she does and it pays off when others compliment her pictures.

Lydia is not popular by any means, but she is known and is very well liked around the school. Not only because she's responsible for the pictures that go in the yearbook, but she also has the kindest soul you could meet. She's the reason the school agreed to give out free sport event tickets with the exchange of canned goods, so they can give it to shelters and homes. She has a big heart and isn't afraid to show it. Sports are a big deal at her high school and around her town.

Lydia wasn't biased when it came to taking pictures. She'd make sure she got enough of each player, and not only ones of the star players. She knew the school, mostly the girls, wanted to see more pictures of Ashton. Speaking of.

Ashton Avery, oh, Ashton Avery. The soccer team's captain. Center midfielder. Most important player. He's your stereotypical high school bad boy, tattoos and piercings, the 'I don't give a fuck' attitude. He has long, dirty blonde hair, piercing blue eyes and an attitude so cocky, it's threatening. Ashton is the most important player on the team and he knows it. Giving him an excuse to be cocky and full of it. The after game parties are always to celebrate Ashton and their win.

It was the beginning of Ashton's final year as the soccer team's captain. He was determined to be undefeated his last season. He was cocky and he wanted to prove to everyone how good he was. He needed to make it to the major league. He needed to go to college on a scholarship.

Ashton knows who Lydia is, just like Lydia knows who Ashton is. They never officially met, but Ashton needs her to take as many pictures of him as she can this season. Ever since she began shooting the games, Ashton has become not only more popular in school, but on Instagram as well. The random compliments he receives boosts his ego further. And he needs that. He craves it.

Ashton has an idea. It's not the best idea, but it's worth a shot. Ashton knows the charm he has on the girls at school and online. He can make any girl swoon, make any girl want him.

Lydia tries so hard to stay under the radar and keep interactions with others to a minimum. When something happens between Ashton and Lydia, it causes her world to crumble in an instant. Alone and afraid, she isn't sure what to do.

What happens when she gets knocked up and becomes the topic of the school year? She's lost and she certainly can't raise a baby alone.
