Long ago...two races ruled over Earth.
Humans, and Monsters.
Having once lived in harmony with one another and co-existed peacefully, the two races were filled with happiness.
Unfortunately, as time passed, they could not get along as humans began to grow fearful of them, their fear turned to anger, then it turned to misguided resentment for monster kind's ability to absorb human SOULS where humans couldn't absorb most Monster SOULS.
And then resentment turned to hate.
Hate, having soon fully seized control of human hearts and their SOULS, turned them completely against monster kind, resulting in a 'war' that could only be described as attempted genocide, by the end of it all...
Monsters were sealed underground.
The humans were victorious.
But....
That is the basis of those who knew the story of the beginning of Undertale, and the start of a story where a child freed all of monster kind.
Freed by a child filled with Curiousity, rather then DETERMINATION, all seemed well for the time being in the Surface.
But...
Nobody truly knew the 'Origin' story of those from the past, before and after monster kind had been imprisoned.
And through their origin stories, we can learn why their influence is still felt as of today, as their actions had managed to impact history a great deal.
Yet, even as I, a storyteller, told you the stories of those whose lives ended in tragedy, or have ascended to become something more...
Ultimately...
Not everyone could ever be saved....
