In a muddy ditch, out in the rain, out came the cries of an infant.

The infant in general had orange colored eyes, with light brown hair, shortly after having been born while the wife was recovering, his father had secretly taken the baby and put the baby in the ditch before going off on his own, nobody knew why he did that.

But as we all know, it is a dick move to take a newly born child out the hospital and dump them into a ditch with the intent of leaving them for dead, the infant, despite not knowing the gravity of his father's actions, continued to cry out in the rainy night.

It wasn't long before someone found him in the ditch and immediately went to the hospital to tell the doctors there where the child had been found, as a result, there was a search party, seeking out the man who left the infant to die.

Unfortunately, nobody ever found the father, and the person who found the infant in that ditch was informed that the mother had died shortly after giving birth to the boy, while it was a miracle that the boy was alright after the doctors had done some check ups for the child.

The person who found him was a man who wanted a child, but in accordance to the law, he had to give that child up, so with the authorities, they took him to an orphanage where the paper work were signed over and essentially took the boy in.

The caretaker, who felt sorry for the young male infant made sure to take him to his room, where a few other infants were at, he placed the child in an orange colored crib and decided to give the baby a name right then and there.

" To honor your brave mother for bringing you into the world at the cost of her life, and to go against your cowardly father, I shall name you Amos, as a symbol of Bravery and a symbol of a mother's genuine love and care that went into you. "

As the caretaker finished speaking, he went to fill out some paper work, even though it will take a relatively short while to make the name official or so the caretaker knew, as far as he knew, there were no other relatives who would be able to take Amos in and raise him right.

While the caretaker took care of the paper work, the recently named Amos very slowly rolled to the side of the crib, taking in his new surroundings, full of curiosity and is overall, completely oblivious to the fact that he had narrowly avoided death.

Despite being recently born, the infant grabbed at the bars a bit as hard as his tiny hands could manage, like he was trying to figure out what exactly he was grabbing, he smiled and giggled, as if he was having fun using his tiny hands to feel the bars in his crib.

A few hours have passed and the caretaker waltz back into the room, having finished doing a few things, with a new piece of paper, which was an official birth certificate, the boy had officially been named Amos as the caretaker placed the paper down and went to give him a bottle.

" I'll make sure to help take care of you, Amos. " The caretaker said, he was a man, but he was also someone who genuinely loved children, it's part of why he ran an orphanage, after all, with renewed hope for the infant's future, the caretaker proceeded to start feeding the child.
