13. Runaways

Suga got up putting his hand on Yamaguchi's shoulder.

"I'll come back later tonight." He said then left.

Yamaguchi sat there alone. He felt some what numb. He hadn't known Tsuki for that long yet his feelings for him felt like he had known him for years.

He couldn't stand it he hated this all of this. None of it made any sense. The person he had fallen for had to be a hit man for hire Andre had to be the target.  He felt a warm tear run down his cheek. He quickly wiped it away not wanting to look like a mess in the waiting room.

"Yams?" The familiar cheerful tone of Hinata's voice rang through his head.

He turns his head to see his friend and Kageyama coming near him.

"We're going to run home. Do you want me to bring you a change of clothes?" Hinata asked.

Yamaguchi silently nodded. After Hinata and Kageyama left he stood up, wiped the tears from his face and went into Tsuki's hospital room.

Tsuki sat up best he could in the bed and watched Yamaguchi sit in the chair beside him.

"I wonder if Kuroo and Kenma have been arrested or if they have fled." He said staring at the wall clock.

"The people your work with?" Yamaguchi asked.

Tsuki nodded. He stayed quiet the room felt to heavy to speak.

An hour passed in the silence of the room. Yamaguchi got up and walked over to the window. He looked out and stared at the moon for a moment before letting out a heavy sigh.

"The moon sacrifices so much so the sun can light the world." He said quietly.

"What was that?" Tsuki asked in a cold tone that he hadn't meant.

"It's something that my grandma used to say." Yamaguchi said and went back to sit next to the bed.

"My mom used to say that too." Tsuki said seeming a bit lost in his thoughts.

"Doesn't your name mean moon?" Yamaguchi asked inquisitively.

Tsuki nodded.

"That's why my mom would say that to me."

Their conversation got cut short by the sound of the hospital room door opening.

In walked Hinata and Suga. Suga had a smile on his face while Hinata looked nervously around the room. Suga shut the door to the room and began to talk very quietly.

"Kageyama is in a black non licensed car outside in the bag is the keys to Daichi's cuffs. Kageyama and Hinata are going to take you to an unmarked Safe house that the police use to hide people that are in danger. Once your there.... We're going to fake your deaths." Suga said.

As he spoke both Tsuki and Yamaguchi stared at him in disbelief.

"No." Tsuki said once Suga had finished.
"I should pay for my crimes."

Suga looked at him. His expression softened.

"You saved Yamaguchi." He said sounding like in his head that justified all the murders he had committed.
