"Why do you people always blindfold me?" Jaemin complained as him, Jeno, Soobin, and Felix were all sitting in the back of a limo.
"Karina and Lia are watching Marvel movies, so we are going somewhere special for you too," Jeno laughed as Jaemin groaned.
"Please tell me it's not a Strip Club."
"Of course not. Soobin's not old enough yet. Although if we did go, he would probably go outside immediately because of how crowded he would feel."
Soobin nodded in agreement and they started laughing. Jaemin pulled his blindfold off as he couldn't see anything through the black windows anyway and Jeno shook his head.
"Cheater."
After a while, the limo stopped and Felix stood up. "We're here. Jaemin, put the blindfold on."
Jaemin groaned and put it back on as Felix led him out. The four of them walked inside the huge building and Jaemin could hear the sound of children having fun.
"Oh God, we're not at a school, are we?" He asked. "What kind of bachelor's party is-"
"Shh," Jeno giggled, taking his blindfold off before grabbing his hand and pulling him through a set of double doors.
"Woahhh," Jaemin was in awe at everything. It was a huge room lit up with cool lights. There were arcade games and bouncy houses and he was just speechless.
"I wanted you to have the childhood you never had... just one day before you get married," Jeno said, praying that he liked it.
"Do you think he likes it?" Soobin asked Felix.
"I don't know."
Jaemin's silence made Jeno sad before he was pulled toward a big inflatable slide by the former.
"Jae-Jaemin, wait! We have to take our shoes off!" He yelled and Jaemin started laughing while doing what Jeno said to do. There were a lot of kids there, but Jaemin was having the time of his life.
He went on some of the things by himself while the other three sat down watching him, and Jeno brushed away the tears that were threatening to spill from his eyes.
"Are you crying?" Soobin asked.
"No. I just... I wish he had a happy childhood. It should've been like this, not whatever the hell he went through."
"I forgot about all of that." Soobin looked down at his phone and typed things in his notes.
He typed in everything that he remembered happened to Jaemin. He also typed in that he remembered that Jaemin's dad stole those letters, which were his personal belongings.
He just needed proof of all of it.
"Jaemin, the pizza's done," Felix said to Jaemin who got stuck racing a little girl through an obstacle course. "Maybe these things weren't made for 5'10" grown men?"
Jaemin sighed and Felix chuckled before helping him out. While the others ate pizza, Jaemin ate chicken wings since he didn't like milk and cheese is.... well milk.
After a little while of them talking, Jeno looked at the time and gasped.
"It's time for lazer tag!"
"What? Lazer tag?"
"Yes, come on."
And so they played lazer tag. For a long time. With a bunch of kids. As a bachelor party. They lost everytime to the multitude of tiny monsters that hid in the smallest crevices of the battlefield, but they had fun anyway.
When they were done, they went back to the main room and Jaemin started filling up on sweets. People started leaving since it was nighttime and they were tired, leading to Felix calling his limo to come pick them up.
They walked out, Jeno having to help Jaemin who was high on sugar, and they got back in the car to go back to the house.
"Guess who's getting married tomorrow," Jaemin said, laughing quietly before snorting. "Me."
"Okay. Just... go to sleep," Jeno said, pushing Jaemin's head to lay on his shoulder.
"Jeno-ah?"
"Hm?"
"Am I getting married to you?"
"No," Jeno chuckled.
"But you proposed to me."
"No I didn't."
"Yeah you- wait, did I propose to you?"
"You know what? Why don't you just go go sleep?"
"Okay. Good night husband."
Jeno smiled and shook his head. "I am never giving you sugar again."
When they got back to the apartment, Jeno carried Jaemin to the couch and laid him down. As he was covering him up with a blanket, Karina came out of the room.
"Did he have fun?" She asked.
He looked up at her and tried to smile, although he was internally sad because of tomorrow.
"Yeah, he did. I'm gonna go sleep at a motel tonight." As he was walking toward the door, she heard his sniffle and sighed.
"Jeno wait." She walked over to him and he turned to face her while wiping his eyes. "You're still in love with him, aren't you?" He looked at her in confusion and she shook her head. "I can tell. I can also tell that he feels the same way. I'm so sorry Jeno." She leaned in to hug him and he hugged her back when his eyes finally started crying. "I'm sorry that they're forcing you apart. I'll make it better though. I promise. I'll help you guys."
He pulled away and smiled before opening the door. "I'll see you in the morning. Thank you."
