Part one- The Elvornbloom

Mink looked off in the distance, where once was his home.

"They are all gone.. Everything! It's all gone!" Mink screamed out in anguish. He fell to his knees, letting the tears fall. He experienced the group every child in his village was warned about. He was alone. Family? Gone. Friends? Gone. Well everyone but Alvar. Alvar was sitting next to Mink, holding him in comfort.

"It'll be ok M, I promise we will get through this and take down the Kora, to avenge all the tribes." Alvar was seething with anger. He knew how hard, and how personally Mink would take this humongous loss. Mink was reckless, and outgoing, fearless, and without Alvar by his side, definitely dead by now. In all his 15 years of being Mink's friend, this is the worst his mental state has ever been.

The attack happened so quickly. The leaders were taken, forbidding communication with any other Elf tribes, and brutally slaughtered in front of the town square. Alvar had grabbed Mink and hid him in the forest as they watched the fires and bloodshed, and heard the screams of his parents and siblings. No evidence, but ash, scraps of food and a single flower stood in the center.

Alvar stood up and looked over the land, and the edge of the forest surroundings. Alver saw a spot of purple and squinted at it.

"Hey Mink, what's that?" Alvar pointed at the spot.

"H-huh?" Mink stood up hopefully, slid down the cliffside and ran towards the purple splotch.

Curiously, Alvar followed, making sure no one followed. Little did they know a small wolf had been peering through the trees, watching them.

"Alv! You have to see this!" Mink yelled for the other to see what his fuss was about. Alvar walked over, faster than before.

"Oh my Griven, It's an Elvornbloom..." Alvar spoke softly, almost as if he spoke any louder, he'd destroy the flower.

"H-how? Aren't they extremely rare? How is it still alive even after everything that happened?"

Alvar was quick to reply.

"I think it's here because of everything that happened..."

"How do you mean?"

"Elvornblooms are known as the flower of hope- they sense when something has unfinished business, and they grow to aid it in it's journey... They are rare because they can't be grown, or sought out. They only show themselves to the hopeless or lost" Alvar was happy to put his knowledge to use, and even more happy to have been the first of his kind to find such a rare and mystical object.

"Well let's grab it then, it can help us right?" Mink said, reaching out for it's glowing purple petals. Before he could reach it however, A firm hand grabbed his wrist.

"Mink, we should study it first! We don't know how it works, or even if it came for us!" Alvar instructed, sternly, hoping that Mink would listen for once in his life.

"It's all we have Alvar! We have nothing to study it with, we have no home, no food, no water! We. have. Nothing!" Mink snapped at him.

Alvar was taken back by his words. He never called him by his full name, and if he did it was as a joke. But, Alvar couldn't argue with him... they were alone, and the flower was probably the best chance they had at any hope of a happy ending. He was taken out of his thoughts by a flash of white and purple passed at an inhuman speed.

"Hey get back here!" Mink turned around and saw a small wolf, perched on a branch, staring at them with the flower in its mouth.
