The next two games I was in net and won both of them. We just came home from the road trip.
***Dec 6 (Game day)***
After the game, I change and headed home. My apartment isn't that far away from the United Center, so I can just walk there.
"Rantie!" I hear someone yell. The voice sounded familiar, the sweet Finnish accent of a girl. I turn around to see her standing there.
"Aadie!" I yell as she runs towards me. My best friend from Finland: Aada. She gets to me and I hug her. "Mitä sinä täällä teet?" ("What are you doing here?") I asked. She doesn't know much English.
"Olin Springfield, sightseeing. Kun kuulin olit syntynyt tänä iltana. Joten Ajoin täällä osti lipun ja katseli soititte!" ("I was in Springfield, sightseeing. When I heard you were in goal tonight. So, I drove up here, bought a ticket and watched you played!")
"Haluatko saada jotain syötävää ja voimme kiinni?" ("Do you want to get something to eat and we can catch up?")
"Kyllä!" ("Yes!")
We walk down to a local restaurant and started to talk. She said that she was only going to be in Chicago for three more days before she goes San Jose to see her cousin, Antti Niemi. Yes her cousin is the San Jose Sharks goalie. She also said she didn't have anywhere to stay since she cancelled the rest of her nights in the hotel down in Springfield. I told her she could stay with me.
