"Mind telling me where were you all these years" He asked gently.

Yeah, I mind

"I was with mother, where else?" I decided to play dumb.

"You weren't with Mom, you ran away from home 3 months before Mom's accident"

"How do you know that?" I asked

"What do you think, I will let my sister stay with a stranger after mother's death?" He asked me with a seriousness, "As soon as I got the news of mother's death, I took your guardianship, I wanted to bring you here but you weren't there"

"For years My people were searching for you in vain, we were looking for Callista Blackthorn but as it turned out you were living in a fake identify" he continued.

I sat dumbfounded at this, he looked for me all those years.

"H......How did you...find me then?" I asked anxiously

"Your car accident, We got a link and we followed it, that's when we came to know that you were staying in Charlie's orphanage for about 3 months in the name of Amara Scott"

Oh my accident!

"What happened?" Victor asked

"As you told just now, it was a car accident nothing serious" I said not daring to look at him.

"Look at me and speak" he stood from his chair and walked towards me then sat on the chair beside me.

My hands were almost shivering now, I gripped the chair tightly as he gently made me look at him with his hand before he spoke.

"Callie, if you don't tell me I have my ways, I will find the truth anyway and it won't be nice"

"So tell me?" He asked in a softly.

I was on the verge of outburst, In normal condition I won't answer that question in any case but Victor's silver grey eyes were literally forcing the truth out of me.

"I wasn't careful, the accident was my fault" I spoke,"I met Charlie at hospital, he offered me a place to stay which I accepted as there was no where else for me to go. I used the name Amara Scott so that no one can track me"

"You were in the Orphanage for 3 months, where were you before?" He asked his grey eyes almost searching my soul for answers.

"I was in another orphanage"

"Which one?" He asked

I am dammed now!

"Many, I used to move from one orphanage to Another" My brain manged to find one sensible answers at last.

"Why?" He questioned

"I didn't want anyone to find me, so I used different names each time" I lied, trying my best to sound genuine.

His face was stoic as ever and I have no idea what's was going through his mind.

"Why did you run way?" He asked finally after a moment of silence

"Mom and I got into a bad fight, we mostly had, I couldn't take it anymore and I ran away" I answered, the look he gave me told me that he didn't brought this answer, Even in my ears it sound stupid.

I looked down at fingers, not daring to look at him. He could literally kill me with his gaze for trying to lie to him.

"You called Dad from your stepfather's phone before running away" he asked slowly, while I nodded in agreement not bothering to look at him.

There was a painful moment of silence before he spoke

"Callie are you alright?" He asked his tone much softer.

I couldn't look at his face, a strings of emotions went through my mind, I was on the verge of breaking down. I didn't believe myself to speak, so I just nodded my head.

"Callie who told you there was no place for you to go?" He asked softly

"Who need to tell me? It's the truth! You kicked me out of your lives first, then a mother who don't love me, No one care for me, no one" I snap at him, a drop of tear escaped from my eyes, which I whipped hastily.

"Callie, whatever happened was for you, we did what we thought was best at that situation, It was meant to be a temporary arrangement" he spoke after a moment of silence.

"For me to go away" I asked

"Yes, Don't ask me why? I can't tell you. But remember one thing we were planning to bring you back to us in few months"

I tried to think about what he said, but nothing made sense.

"What-" before I could ask him to explain what he meant, he placed a finger on my lips.

"Tommorow is your first day at school, you will be joining late and there will be a lot to catch up, I need you to be attentive and be a good girl understand" Victor spoke a bit sternly.

I nodded my head obediently.

I sat in the chair Silently, my mind and thoughts were muddled, what Victor told me and what happened didn't made any sense.

I don't know how much time passed sitting there lost in my thoughts, I was pulled out of my thoughts by a hand shaking my shoulder gently.

It was Diego.

I didn't even realize Diego and Edward entering the room until now.

I looked at them almost in shock, before excusing myself from the room.

Before I exit from the door, Victor asked,

"Callie, how old were you when you started to learn fighting?"

"About 11 or 12 why?" I immediately regretted my words.

"Nothing"

I swear I saw his eyes darkening.

Not only his.
