Tony's P.O.V
I hold Pepper's hand as the doctors worked on extracting the little bit of what was left the extremis from her body. She, of course, was under anesthesia. But I still held her hand through the toughest part of her life.
The doctors said that she would wake up with slight pain but minor at that. I smirk inwardly. Pepper thought that if she touched me, then she would hurt the big&bad Ironman. Hah!
Just last week I had my arc reactor pulled from my chest and now I feel better than ever. I thought that I should give myself a little present since I promised Pepper I would straighten things out when it comes to the extremis.
My Malibu home was destroyed by Eric Savin. Who I forgot to thank for almost killing Pepper and I. But, oh well, he's dead and I have Pepper to thank now. Now I have to live in the city that gave me PTSD after Loki, the God of mischief, tried to take over the world. Yay.
New York, here we come. I just hope Steve hasn't broke Jarvis or my penthouse. If he got any where near my bar area and he will find his shield in the dimension of Asgard and on top of its highest mountain.
