The rain has been falling for days now
Thunder and lightning light up the sky
Raindrops fall from my eyebrow
It looks like I let out a good cry
I'm heading home from the store
I stumble across my dad
He's lying on the floor
I shuffle past saying "my bad"
He let's out a grunt
The wind is growling against the front door
I'm still in a runt
The wind keeps growling harder and harder on the front door
The wind is so strong it bursts open the front door
I run over to shut it
But I end up tripping over something on the floor
But I get up and head to the door and with great force I'm able to shut it
I walk upstairs to my room
I start to straighten things up
I pick up this and that including the broom
I even find an old plastic cup
I'm not really here
I close my eyes to think
Have I even been here physically
I can't even muster up the courage to blink
My dad is awake
I must leave now
Or else he'll make me feel like a mistake
I really must go now
