"Well. Now that this is done" you say setting down a painting of the mountain range "I can go wake up grandmama for dinner "
You clean your brushes and stride up the staircase to her room "grandmama. Please wake up, it's time for dinner" you say with a tired tone
But you hear nothing....dead silence .....
"Grandmama? I'm coming in" you say as you open the door only to find her lying on the floor in blood
"Grandmama!" You shout and run to her "no! Grandmama. Please" your pleas seem to drown out the noise of the furnace.
You walk back out to the door as the doctors arrive "she seems to have been hit with the candle stick. Is there any chance you heard someone enter?" The officer asked as we sat in the parlor, "no sir. I wish I did, I can't think of any reason to hurt her" but he seems to be lost in thought.
