Izuku POV:
I was walking back and forth throughout the store, trying to analyze what still had to be done for close. We had been pretty slow tonight, so it'd been okay that Shoto hadn't been able to come in tonight. Teas had been prepped, drains had been done, the grate was clean, bars one and three were emptied and pilled, and dishes were all caught up except for the end of night dishes.
I hear the front door open, and my head immediately snaps towards the person coming in. Instinctually I start to say, "Hello, Welcome In," but the words die in my throat as I make eye contact with the customer.
He is tall, about 5'9"-5'10"ish, with messy purple hair, lazily swept back behind his head. He has pale skin and brilliant violet eyes that bear into me. Dark eyebags line his eyes, speaking of long sleepless nights. He has a long dark coat on, the clothes underneath matching his dark, mysterious, nondescript look..
He walks up to the counter and I meet him there, smiling brightly and trying to regain my composure.
"Hello sir, what can I get started for you?" I squeak, my voice sounding loud and obnoxious in my ears.
He's looking down at his phone, scrolling thorugh it, and speaks quickly, as if he has about 10 other places he'd rather be, "24 shots of espresso in a venti cup."
I blink, my brain not fully processing what he'd said. 24 shots? He can't be serious, that's... not enough to kill you, I think, but definitely more than any normal person should be drink. Though, I can already tell this man isn't anything close to normal.
In that moment of hesitation, he looks up at me, obviously about to mouth off at me for not typing in his order fast enough, harsh lines written across his face. But, when our eyes met, mine emerald and his amethyst, I see something flicker in his, and he falls silent.
He glances down at my POS, indicating for me type the order in, but I'd already forgotten what he'd said, my brain moving on to something more important before it'd finished processing his order.
I avert my eyes, blushing as I find myself refusing to meet his intoxicating purple eyes. He looks like he isn't getting enough sleep, and there are dark eyes bags underneath his violet irises, but they are still some of the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen.
"Can you repeat that again for me sir?" I ask, my voice stuttering a little bit. My mind is racing about a million miles a minute, still trying to wrap my head around his order and all the stuff I still have to do for close.
"Of course darling," he grins, winking at me cheekily. I blush a little, looking down at the POS. He repeats his question again, "do you think I could 24 shots of espresso in a venti cup?"
"That's a lot of espresso sir. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to give you that much. Let me go ask my supervisor, okay?" I say, a sort of pleading in my eyes. I don't want him, this stranger, to die, and that's a lot of caffeine.
He nods, and I rush over to Katsuki at bar. He's in the middle of restocking our backstock, getting ready for close.
"Kaachan, can you help me for a second?" I ask nervously, and he looks up at me with his bright red eyes.
"What is it nerd? I'm in the middle of something here," he says, anger lining his voice.
"Well there's customer in café trying to order 24 shots of espresso. I didn't know if there was a limit on how many we're allowed to give, but that seemed like a dangerous amount, because the lethal dose of caffeine..." I explain, starting to ramble as words come out of my mouth quicker than I know what to do with.
