Chapter 7- Can you hear me?

Dahvies pov-

Jayy fell asleep sitting in the small chair next to Skylars bed. She had 3 broken ribs, she had lost a LOT of blood, and she's in a coma. I couldn't help but stare at her bruised up, pale, lifeless body. The only sign of her life was the heart monitor.

Haley and Andrew had left after visiting time had ended. It was just me and Jayy who were aloud to stay. I sat in the green flowered chair beside her bed and leaned back. No matter how hard I try, I can't sleep. I haven't slept much in the last few days.

I just starred at the sleeping Jayy. His makeup was ruined. He hadn't left her side or let go of her hand.

Jayys pov-

~Dream~

"Hey Jayy!"

"Yeah?" I smiled and turned to Demitha.

"Tag!" she said before lightly touching my arm and running off. I laughed and chased her until we were at my house.

She ran into my back yard and tried to hide behind the tree. But I caughter her.

"Haha!!! Your it. And, I'm done" I said and dropped to the ground. So did Demitha and we both just watched the fluffy marshmallows above our head.

"Jayy!"I heard her gasp and I jumped up to a sitting position and looked at her.

One problem.

She was gone.

~end of dream~

I opened my eyes to the white sheets of the hospital bed.

I have been having dreams about me and Demitha when we were kids for a while now.

"Hey your awake?" I heard Dahvies voice over my very soft crying.

"Yeah" I sniffed.

"It'll be ok jayy" he said uneasy.

I just nodded.

Even though it broke my heart when she left after I kissed her, even though I know she doesnt love me like I love her, we still grew up together. And wether we're together or just friends. She'll still always be half of my life.

"I love you Skylar" I whispered and kissed her hand. I felt her hand twitch in mine and I gasped.

"What?" dahvie asked.

"She can hear us" I smiled.

"What?"

"She squeezed my hand!" I squealed. Then dahvie laughed at me.

"Let me hold her hand" Dahvue demanded. Then I bent down an hovered over her.

"Mine" I growled and held her hand tightly.

"Skylar.. Can you hear us?" dahvie asked and then he smiled. I bent down to her ear and whisperered "I love you"about a hundred times. My fingers were in her hair and i was caressing her cheek and before I knew it...I was crying again.

She squeezed me hand and I smiled.

"That's a really good sign" dahvie said.

"I know" I said an layed my head on the bed. Now sitting In the chair again. I still woulden't let go of her hand. And now dahvie was holding her other hand.

I very slowly drifted off to sleep with dahvie.

Yah yah I know, I know! It's like SUPER short.
