I walked in the house from the garden. Dean saw me enter the house and walked over to me.

"Hey, are you okay?" Dean sounded sincere.

"Yeah, I'm okay." It was pretty late when I got back to the house. I told Dean, "I'm gonna head up to bed." My voice was soft, I was tired. My body ached, but I pushed it all aside and walked up the stairs. When I got to my room I remembered that Jesse would tickle me to wake me up. I smiled at the memory. My bed was soft, it had a blue blanket hanging off the side. Jesse's name embroidered in the side, it was his blanket he would let me use when it was cold. I grabbed it and fell to my side. My body hugged by the bed, I drifted to sleep.

~Dream~

I am standing in the living room, flipping through some pages in my book. I got up to grab the remote, my favorite show was coming on. Jesse was walking through the door, told me mom dad and my little brother went out to get dinner. We ordered takeout that night. The next thing I knew was that a man broke the window on my right. He pointed the gun at me and pulled the trigger.

Jesse dove in front of me and caught the bullet instead of me. My parents kept a gun in the drawer next to where I was standing. Without a second thought I grabbed it and shot the man. It took me a second to figure out what was going on, when I did I dropped the gun and fell to my feet. Jesse was bleeding out, a wound straight through his stomach.

I picked him up and laid his head on my lap.

"Jesse" Tears falling down my face I looked at him.

"Kate, listen to me" He was coughing up blood. "Call 911, hurry" His voice was weak. I grabbed the phone from the table without getting up.

"They are on their way" I sniffled.

"I love you Kate" His body relaxed and his final breath was let out.

No! Jesse, please!" I cried out for him, tears were streaming down my face. I tried to call out for help, but my voice was gone, and I was awake.

~Real Life~

"Katherine! Hey!" It was Dean, he was shaking me trying to wake me up. I jolt awake, my breathing was heavy. I started looking around, moving my hands frantically around my bed. My hand collides with Deans, I grab it.

"Hey, hey I'm right here." He sat down next to me, his arm around my back. I wouldn't let go of his hand. "I heard you screaming" I laid my head on his shoulder, he put his hand on my head and began to stroke my hair. "Shh, Shh it's okay. I'm right here" My breathing was still heavy, I couldn't see much. My room was dark, but I could feel Dean's body heat. It was warm, it made me feel comfortable.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to wake you." My other hand was on Dean's chest. His breathing was slow, rhythmic.

"It's alright, I wasn't sleeping anyway." His hand was warm, soft but rough. I squeezed his hand and he squeezed back. My body started to relax, Dean's arm was keeping me steady. Sam and Bobby were at the door.

~Dean's POV~

Katherine was holding my hand tight. My arm was around her, trying to keep her steady. Her breathing was heavy, it started to ease as her hand loosened on my hand. Bobby and Sam were standing at the door. Sam looked at me with a smile as in like "make your move" type of thing. I rolled my eyes. Bobby mouthed.

"You good?" Bobby pointed his finger at me. I nodded. He gave me the "I got my eyes on you" gesture. I rolled my eyes once again, and looked at him. She began to fell back onto the bed, she didn't let go of me. Her hand was intertwined with mine. Her fingers tangled my shirt. I went down with her. She let out a small sigh and fell asleep. Sam looked at me and smiled.

"Buzz off" I whispered to them. They both laughed and walked away. I kissed her forehead, and closed my eyes.

~Katherine POV~

The next morning when I woke up I was still in Deans arms. He was holding me close, his body heat radiated from him to me. The warmth made me feel safe, protected. I never wanted to leave. When I looked up at him, his green eyes opened. A smile appeared across his face when he said.

"Good morning." His sleepy morning voice was rough, deep. I smiled.

"Good morning" I set my head back on his chest and took a deep breath. He smelled like fire and a mix of the Impala and after shave. His chest rose and fell with every breath he took. My fingers still intertwined with his.

"You okay?" Dean asked while he rubbed the back of his hand with his thumb.

"Yeah, I'm okay" I sat up, looked out the window as a bird flew past.

"You want to go get some breakfast?" Dean sat up to.

"Yeah, that sounds great. Where are Bobby and Sam?" I looked back at him.

"I think they are downstairs with Cas, trying to figure out how to make you better." I slouched as he said "Make you better" I have always been the independent type. Never needed anyone's help, never asked. Dean threw his legs over the side of the bed and stood up.

"I am gonna go get dressed and tell them we are going out to grab some breakfast." I nodded and Dean walked out of the room. I got up myself and looked in the mirror. Scratches on my hands, from where I was clawing at my hand in my dream. They hurt. I washed them off in the bathroom and wrapped some cloth around my hand.

When I walked down stairs after getting dressed, Sam, Bobby and Dean where in the kitchen. Bobby looking in the books, Sam on the internet and Dean pouring himself some coffee.

"Good morning sunshine" Sam looked at me with a childish smile.

"Oh shove it" I rolled my eyes and smiled at him. Bobby got up and hugged me, he was a little taller than me so I buried my head in his neck. It was a fatherly sort of hug, nice, warm, comforting. Something I haven't had in a while. It was nice. When we pulled away from each other Sam and Dean were looking at us. To cut the awkwardness I asked them.

"You guys want to come to breakfast with us?" I looked at Dean. He seemed happy I asked them to come.

"Yeah, let me get dressed" Sam walked up stairs and Bobby followed. I sat down at the table and relaxed a little. Dean walked over with his coffee and sat next to me.

"So, who's Jesse?" He took a sip of his coffee. That question took me by surprise.

"What?" I looked at him.

"You were yelling for someone named Jesse in your dream last night. You were in tears when I woke you up." He looked at me with his puppy dog eyes.

"Oh umm" I started to mess with my fingers again. I think he noticed because he set his hand on mine and said.

"Hey, it's okay. You can tell me" I looked up at him, sighed and said.

"Jesse, was my older brother. I guess Cas told you about what happened."

"All Cas said was that he died in your arms" He squeezed my hand. "You don't have to tell me if you don't want. It's okay" He gave me a smile.

"No it's okay. I'll tell you." I told Dean all about my dream. How he died in my arms and I shot and killed the guy trying to break in. I wasn't sure what is reaction would be. He simply got up and hugged me.

"I am so sorry Katherine." I kissed my forehead.  Sam and Bobby came down the stairs when he was hugging me.

"What the hell are you doing?" Bobby was like my father, protective. Dean quickly pulled away from the hug and Bobby started to step between us. I got up and walked in front of him.

"I told him what happened. He was just giving me a hug"

"Mhm." Bobby eyed up Dean.

"Lets go get some food, okay?" I grabbed my bag by the door and walked out. Sam was quick to follow. Dean and Bobby walked out a moment later. Lovey had to stay at the house, she was curled up on the couch when I looked before I went out of the house. We were driving my car, Dean got in the passenger seat and Bobby and Sam sat in the back.
