Awaken.

He felt the sensation of floating in a deep, dark body of water.

Awaken.

It was honestly one of the most calming sensations the boy had ever felt.

Awaken.

He wished that he could remain in this place forever.

AWAKEN.

But that was impossible.

AWAKEN!

Everyone had to face the consequences of their decisions eventually.

AWAKEN, ISAAC HOLLOWS!

Raven sat near the right side of the patient's bed, once again regulated to healing the boy. To pass the time, she had taken to reading one of the many books she had bought at Mason Hughes' Bookstore. It was a copy of The Stand, written by one Stephen King. While the others had gone about their day, Raven had engrossed herself into the story of the book. So much so that she hadn't even noticed that Cyborg had come in with tea and a plate of well-cooked steak.

At the scent of the tea and meat, she turned her attention to the only other person in the room. "Thank you, Cyborg." She said, her dry tones laced with a hint of gratefulness.

"Least I can do." He said, a small smile on his face as he sat down on one of the chairs. Cyborg turned his concern towards their guest. "Anything changed with him?"

Raven shook her head. "He's progressing well, but he still won't be awake until next Tuesday."

"And what about the stuff he had with him?" Cyborg asked.

The goth mage frowned. "Aside from the clothes, wallet, and the contents of the wallet, the other objects he had with him didn't match any known civilization or religion. Once he's awake, I'm going to try and get some help from the Sentinels of Magic and some other groups involved in the mystic arts."

Cyborg stroked his chin with a metal hand. "What about this guy I heard...I think his name was Joh--!"

Raven shook her head in an erratic and quick manner. "No. We are not getting him involved. We want to question him, not give him a heart attack, a curse, or lung cancer. And we certainly do not want him to confiscate the items without the Sentinel's or the League's permission. There's no telling what the Hellblazer will do with them if he does."

Raven frowned. "Zatanna...will be difficult about helping me, but I believe Fate and the others will keep her in line."

Cyborg hummed. "She's still wary of you then?"

Raven snorted in annoyance...and a small amount of resentment. "Wary is a very light way of putting it, Cyborg. Paranoid would be a more accurate term."

Cyborg smirked. "Well...when you're in trouble you know who to call." He began to sing.

She sighed and turned to him. "Really? That song?"

"What can I say? I like it."

Cyborg stood up and left the infirmary, humming that accursed song as if he intended to annoy her.

Raven shook her head and smiled. "Idiot."
