Harry, Ron, and Ginny were walking through the forest towards the town of Pine Grove.

"We have been walking for an hour Ron! You couldn't have picked a spot closer to town to apparate?"

"Sorry Harry, I thought I did." Ron answered sheepishly. Harry rolled his eyes and he could hear Ginny mumbling what sounded like "bloody moron" next to him.

"Look! There it is! Let's find a place to eat first and then we can start asking around?" Ron suggested, eyes already searching the small town for a cafe. His eyes landed on one in the center of town named Rosie's and started leading the way towards it. Harry and Ginny followed along, eager to eat after the long unexpected hike they took through the forest.

They sat at a booth by the window so they could look out at the street while they ate. A plump older woman with grey hair came to take their order. She smiled at them and had the demeanor of a kind grandmother.

"Hello. My name is Rosie, what can I get for y'all today?" They all placed their orders for lunch and Rosie left to put them in to the kitchen. They looked around the small cafe, looking for any clue of Hermione. The phone rang by the register and Rosie answered.

"Rosie's Cafe... Oh hello dear, hows our favorite teacher?...Yes I can imagine...I assume her cravings have started? Just the usual then?... Yes i'll have it ready. Are you to grace me with your presence to pick it up?... well I would love to see them as well...You make sure to come visit soon, it has been to long dear... Yes I know and i'm saying a week is to long....That's what I want to hear! Don't work to hard sweetie... You too bye bye now." She finished the conversation with a smile, writing down an order and sending it to the kitchen.

"This place is really comfortable with their customers it seems." Harry observed. Ron nodded his agreement

"Well it is a fairly small town." Ginny supplied. "I'm sure they see the same people every few days."

"Good point." Harry agreed. Just then their food came out, brought over by the warm Rosie. They all dug in right away and were lost in their food when Ron looked out the window and noticed someone.

"Is that Parkinson?"

"What? Where?" Harry asked, turning to look out the window in the same direction as Ron.

"Right there! She's coming towards us with that older lady. She looks familiar too.."

"I think thats Narcissa Malfoy." Harry mumbled in shock. He was not expecting to see his enemy's mother and school girlfriend in this nowhere town.

"I told you that something bad happened! It can't be a coincidence that 'Mione disappears and the town she is at has Death Eaters in it. They are probably part of the group that took her!" Ron justifies, his voice starting to rise .

"Keep your voice down Ron!" Ginny snapped. "And don't jump to conclusions. Just because they are here doesn't mean they kidnapped Hermione." She added with an eye roll just as the two women walked into the cafe. Harry, Ron and Ginny all slouched in their seats, trying to remain unnoticed.

"Narcissa! Pansy! It's wonderful to see you both! I didn't know you were in town," Rosie says, coming from behind the counter to give both women a hug.

"Well I came to have lunch with our girl and check in on my niece and nephews. Cissa here is just hovering." Pansy said with a smirk

"I am doing no such thing! Malfoy's do not hover." Narcissa said with a dignified huff. "Im simply making myself available for my son and daughter in case a situation should arise and they need me."
