We walked down the deserted street, looking back in the other direction to make sure no one was lurking in the shadows. I kicked a rock into a turned over trash can.

We finally made it to the store. Megan walked in first, followed by me, Emma and then Skye. I’m still not too sure about her. But I guess if Emma trusts her, then I should too.

I took the left side of the store to scope out. You never know if someone else could be in here. They could be all like “BOOGA-BOOGA-BOOGA!” and stab you. You never do know.

“YES!” Megan yelled.

“What?” I heard Skye yell back.

“I found Nutella!” She screamed.

Nutella?

NUTELLA!

Today is a good day.

I ran over to where Megan was and found her and Skye sitting on the ground with spoons and jars of the deliciousness from heaven.

“GIMME!!!” I yelled, snatching it from Megan’s hands. I stuffed a spoonful into my mouth.

Oh yes.

Just then, Emma came running down aisle with the IPod in her hand, worry etched onto her face.

“Guys!” she stopped after nearly running Skye over. “The count just went from 48 to 37!”

“What the heck?” Megan asked, jumping up.

“I don’t know! It just like, went down!”

That means it just went down 11 people. 11 girls just died.

Is there another main group?

What. Is. Happening.

“We have to be more careful guys!” I said, breaking my thoughts. “If 11 girls died then only four shouldn’t be a problem!”

“No. It’s not.” Another voice said from who knows where.

I froze.

“Run.” Emma whispered, before bolting out of the store, Megan and Skye close behind.

Still clutching the jar of Nutella, my legs carried me as fast as I could out of the building.

I heard footsteps behind me but I didn’t dare turn around.

I ran down the road towards the woods. I didn’t see where the others went, but it seemed like they may have come this way. I finally stopped. A couple birds flew out of some of the trees, but that was the only noise besides my heavy breathing.

The girl wasn’t following me anymore. I looked around, no one was in sight.

The truth finally dawned on me.

I was alone.
