———-Fait POV

Now that me and Paula were together my head was just spinning, I couldn't believe all that I heard and I didn't know what to think. Paula was just pulling at straws but I wouldn't put anything past anyone at this point.

Me and Paula had to take the bus to the hospital, there wasn't anything more we could do, Jenn had the car, Jenn wasn't answering. Lately I knew if Jenn wasn't answering she was "talking" to Greg. She just paces back and forth in his room touching him waiting for him to touch back. She tells me all the time it's going to work, he feels her and she knows it. I didn't believe in that!

We got the hospital as quick as we could on the bus. When we finally got in we were told Greg was in surgery and we couldn't see him. We still went to the back to where his room was knowing Jenn would be in a near by waiting room, which she was. Up by the windows pacing back and forth and biting her fingernails, I knew she was scared. I ran up to her pulling her hands out of her mouth and wrapping them around me for a hug. We held each other for a few seconds before I started to talk, "it's okay, it's okay honey." She began to uncontrollable sob. I looked up to see Paula's face turned up. "Have some damn respect," I snapped.

Paula's eyes widened quick, "who the hell you talking to?"

"Regardless of what's going on if that was Tim in there we'd all be there for you!"

She broke out in laughter, "the way all y'all been there for me like my baby ain't locked up? Oh we forgot about that since it ain't a gunshot wound huh."

"YOU HAVENT BEEN TALKING TO ANYONE! How would you know!" I rolled my eyes. This wasn't the time and quite frankly I needed the whole gang together, happy and friendly. What I had planned for James I needed everyone to be together on this!

I threw my hands up and went to sit in one of the empty chairs. Not many other people in this waiting room which was great, luckily we're not in the emergency room or something. After everyone calmed themselves Jenn first came and sat by me, wiping her tears away. Then Paula, still scrunched up and she sat a chair away from me.

"Just petty. Can we talk about all this and clear the air," I started to speak looking at the both of them.

"I ain't do nothing to that girl!" Jenn screamed as she started to raise out of her chair!

I hurried and grabbed her arm and flung her back down, "this is not about to happen. What we are all about to do is talk to each other like we got some sense. You're not going to raise your voices any higher than mine is right now," I said in a calming tone. "We're going to talk about this, as if we were the adults we try to be, okay?" Both of them rolled their eyes at me but gave me a look of affirmation. "Jenn..." I had to gather myself, I didn't know exactly what to say but I knew I had to say something or else we'd all just be here starring at one another. "Jenn, what's really going on with Greg?"

You can see her whole face dropped to the ground. She was shocked and confused. "What do you mean Greg? So Paula get to just come in here hooting and hollering and you question ME and GREG?"

"Jenn you know exactly why I'm asking you this so just answer it."

Still with the confused look on her face she continued to play her role. "I don't understand. Greg the one who got shot."

"Jenn, cut the crap like I haven't known you all my life." I sat back in my seat and kicked my feet up. When I have uncomfortable conversations my whole body gets uncomfortable.

"Fait I w— "

I got up and grabbed Paula's arm and we started to walk to the other side of the room leaving Jenn by herself. If I knew this girl at all I knew this would work. When you don't believe her bullshit you just have to make her realize you really don't believe her. One thing Jenn was before anything else was a great liar. She even taught me how. I never would have gotten with James if it wasn't for her lying.
