"Ready or not, here I come!" Gon yelled out childishly as he ran around the backyard. He weaved through trees, his big, hazel eyes scanning the area around him. "Where are ya?" He giggled with malicious intent, his strong legs running incredibly fast, just in case his target decided to attempt an escape. Gon may be 15, but he is very capable for his age physically. He can easily lift huge weights and outrun most of his peers. He's also very sense-sensitive...Meaning his senses...

Gon's ear twitched, and his running came to a halt. "Did I find ya?" He asked slowly, doing his best to sound sinister. He most likely failed, but who asked? He tiptoed toward the sound bit by bit, making sure the grass barely rustled underneath his sandal-covered feet. He had to make sure he wasn't heard, or his friend was sure to escape.

Gon's ear twitched again and he smirked as he tilted his head back to look up at the tree that was thick with different colored autumn leaves. He almost forgot his friend was very skilled at climbing trees. "Found ya." Gon whispered to himself, crouching down a little just so he could jump to a tree branch, and then the next, and so on before he launched himself inside the leaves, feeling warmth in his hands. "Gotcha!"

He grabbed the dog and smiled at him, "Kota...AH!" The branch under Gon gave out with a snap and he was quickly falling to the ground. "Oof!" The grass did nothing to soften his harsh landing, the wind being knocked out of his lungs so hard, it felt lethal. "Ouchie..." He opened his eyes, never noticing that he squeezed them shut, and slowly looked around. "Kota?"

"That was pathetic to watch." A smooth voice said, an obvious smile in the tone. Gon glared and looked up to see his best friend casually holding his dog and staring at him on the ground without an ounce of remorse. Typical. "Quite the display, really."

"Shut up, Killua." Gon huffed and rolled his eyes, standing up quickly on wobbly feet, keeping his head held high and his face calm as if he wasn't sore all over.

"Yeah? Well, I can't." Killua smirked, rubbing the animal gently on the head. "Everyone knows that tree is dying, and your dumb ass jumped on it." He set Gon's dog on the ground and the adorable pup ran to Gon's side, licking his exposed leg.

"I knew that..." Gon mumbled, clearly lying, but he hoped his lying skills were up to par this time. The amount of times he tried to lie and the amount of times Killua caught him lying were equal. And it was kind of depressing. Though, even then, he kept his head held high and a blank look on his features to sell his bluff, even if Killua could see all signs that gave it away. "I just wanted to be a nice person and save my dog. What's wrong with putting his needs before my own?"

Killua gave his friend a knowing look, his smirk never wavering. He chuckled lightly, "Hm... I don't know." The sarcasm dripped off of his tongue like honey and he licked his lips, as if he could taste it. "Maybe the fact that putting his needs first almost got you both killed?" Killua was definitely over-exaggerating on the killing part, but he loved getting on his friend's nerves. How could he ever give that up?

And just as Killua expected, Gon crossed his arms and pouted, his eyes glaring adorable little daggers in the older boy's direction. "You are so annoying."

One of his favorite sentences from the younger boy. Maybe it's because he can't bully any of his siblings at home, but bullying Gon, even just for jokes, would always be entertaining. He didn't hesitate with his reply, following Gon, who was walking off. "You have been telling me that for the past 3 years." He caught up to the fast 15-year-old, stealing a small glance in his direction to find a reaction. A reaction he knew he was going to receive.
