Chapter 2: You

Your name was Cheyanne. Ever since you were three years old, Pixar's Trolls has been your favorite movie. You were particularly interested in one of the trolls, Branch, a blue troll with dark hair who you found particularly handsome. Your friends liked to tease you about it but you knew Branch was your soulmate—if any of the posters on your wall and the candles were any indication.

Now, you were 14 years old. You still dressed up as a troll for every Halloween. Everyone was used to it by now. You didn't care what they thought, even now in high school. It was the weekend and you were bored so you booted up your chromebook and put on Trolls. You laid back in your chair as the obnoxious pink troll, Poppy started narrating.

Finally, Branch, your favorite troll had made an appearance, although this time he looked... different. You swore you could see individual hairs popping out of your screen and his skin looked like you could touch it...

Suddenly, he turned and looked you in the eye. "Heads up!" he said. He used his hair and wrapped it around a tree, spinning around faster and faster—he was headed right towards you! You braced for impact.
