THREE YEARS AFTER ANAKIN AND OBI-WAN RETURNED FROM THAT ONE MISSION ALL THAT TIME AGO (THEY WERE NOW ON A DIFFERENT MISSION), Elara Skywalker sat in the bar on Corcuscant. It was very late at night since one of her lessons had just finished up twenty minutes ago.
Yoda told her she was getting very close to starting her Jedi Trials for he was starting to not know what else to teach her; she knew the Jedi code the best she could, she knew how the Force worked in it's many mysterious ways, she knew the Force's origins, she knew basic Force training, she knew how to fight with a Force-imbued lightsaber (she and Yoda dueled each other on Dagobah, so she learned it pretty well), he trained her in mind probes and interrogation the best he could, she learned military history, she learned diplomacy (she wasn't good at it), she learned regular science andmedical science, and she crafted her own lightsaber.
Now he was further honing her lightsaber combat skills and teaching her advanced Force training to take her to the next section — the nine Jedi Trials: teamwork, isolation, fear, anger, betrayal, focus, instinct, forgiveness, and protection.
Master Yoda was proud of his Padawan, Elara Skywalker. She did not know he was proud of her though, because Yoda would never admit to being proud of someone.
Right now, Elara gyrated a small cup with her hand across the bar table, and that gave the bartender the worst day of his life as he tried his hardest to catch the cup that continually spun in a circle, gradually picking up it's speed and she occasionally let out an amused snort.
When her lessons first started, Yoda taught her how to spin small things around, before he taught her how to meditate as they always did before their lessons, or they would simply channel the Force from their minds before beginning the long lesson by imagining the many things of life that brought the Force around, or the Force brought. They weren't exactly sure which brought which.
Her mind trailed back to her twelve-year-old brother and she smiled, inhaling sharply. Elara was glad he was back from that mission, but she had this weird feeling that maybe he shouldn't have came back from his mission with Obi-Wan.
But Elara tried to ignore that weird feeling the best she possibly could.
Suddenly someone tapped her shoulder and she twisted her head to find a certain Jedi Knight standing there with a smile, his hand now placed his on his utility belt to protect one's self in case someone decided to attack a Jedi for absolutely no reason.
"Obi-Wan," Elara breathed out with a smile, the cup coming to a stop. The bartender finally grabbed it and heaved a relieved sigh.
"Hello, Elara." Obi-Wan sat down on the stool beside her, giving her another smile.
Elara placed her elbows on the bar table. "You're already back from a mission?" she asked, raising her eyebrows.
"I am."
She nodded and after that they into a silence as the bartender filled their cups up to the brim. Elara tapped her fingernails on the cup as Obi-Wan silently sipped on his cup.
"Well, I'm glad you're back." Elara told him. They exchanged a look, a pink tint spreading across their cheeks, and a small smile was shared between the pair.
A Jedi was not allowed to form attachments for another, they pair knew that, but they couldn't help but speak to each other so they decided to meet in the bar sometimes. Romantic feelings were not forbidden, but it could lead them towards the dark side of the Force. Elara knew that wouldn't happen though, they could control their feelings.
So they continued to be friends despite it.
"I'm glad I'm back too." he said.
"How did your mission go?" she asked.
"It went surprisingly well," he chuckled. "I thought Anakin was going to get us both killed."
"Anakin has that effect," she muttered. "He does so many terrible. . . very wrong things that could lead to his death, yet he manages to save the day along with you, of course."
"You are correct. He is very lucky he has a Jedi Master, or else I'm afraid he probably would've gotten himself killed a very long time ago on Tatooine."
"I'm afraid you are wrong, Obi-Wan," she stated. "If we were still on Tatooine, I would not let him leave my side."
"He would find a way to escape you and your. . . escortee prison-like thing." he laughed.
She scoffed, a smile brought to her face as she rolled her eyes. "It would not be a prison!"
"Oh yes, it would."
"No it wouldn't."
"Would too."
"No."
A sudden warmth was brought to her chest, a warmth she only felt around Obi-Wan and not anyone else. Not even Anakin, her little brother. It was some kind of effect he had on her, and she didn't realize the effect he did have on her.
Elara took a swig from her cup and quickly brought it back down. Obi-Wan spoke, "Elara, I ne-"
He was cut off when Anakin came full-on sprinting into the bar just from the excitement he felt to see his sister again after years. Elara threw her gaze in Anakin's direction and she smiled. Before she could stop herself, she dashed towards Anakin and embraced him.
"I missed you!" Anakin laughed.
"I missed you too, Ani!" she smiled.
"How-" they both began to say but they cut themselves off and bursted into a fit of laughter, clutching onto each other for support.
Elara shook her head and hugged him once again, breathing in his scent as squeezed her eyes shut for she didn't want to let him go. Ever.
Anakin pulled away from her and grabbed her by the shoulders. "I really missed you, El." he whispered.
"I did too. A ton."
They smiled at each other. Elara looked her brother up and down, only to realize he was getting much, much more taller than she was and he was getting much, much more adorable.
"You're finally growing." Elara pointed out, stepping away from her brother with a small laugh.
Anakin beamed. "And you're growing short."
She rolled her eyes. "No need to rub it in, Ani."
"But I am."
"But you don't need to."
"Well-"
Obi-Wan walked up to the Skywalker siblings, pulling them away from each other. "Okay, okay, no need to argue." he sighed.
"We weren't-" Anakin began.
Obi-Wan cut his apprentice off. "I think it's time for bed. It is very late."
Elara slowly nodded, her face dropped. "Right. Good night."
