Chapter 1 - Everything Has Changed

I was having a panic attack. I was sweating, head throbbing and eyes watering. I wanted to go home. To feel the warm embrace of my parents.
But instead I had his. He staggered towards me, evidently drunk, and his loud voice boomed.

"Kiss me!" He ordered as I squirmed out of his grasp.

"No. I will not even do so if you were the last man that was fucking alive!" I screamed, not thinking about the consequences.

"What did you say?! No!? Well listen here, princess. You do as I say or I'll destroy you!" He threatened, beer on his breath.

"I'll choose the latter," I confidently spoke, but instead it came out like a squeak.

"Ok princess..." He muttered before I felt his bony knuckles come in contact with my cheek. Falling to the ground, a strong pain was at my ribs. He kicked me. A silver knife was in his hands. All I saw was a drip of red before it was a blur.

My heavy breathing awoke me. My head couldn't process what happened. I sat there in my bed for a few minutes, recapping the dream. But my eyes darted to the clock.

"Shit!" I break away from the duvet and fly off into the bathroom like a butterfly. Yep, the best simile I could think of.

I strip off, turn the shower on to warm and hop in. The warm water heats my body and burns my feet. I apply my TIGI S Factor shampoo and conditioner and rinse. I love showers; before I know it, I'm belting out the song in my head.

All I knew this morning when I woke
