It was a present from my mom. Baby blue iPod with a green shiny case with MELODY written on. It contained 199 songs and I download a new one everyday. 199. 199, 199...
199 days since my mom passed away. Thats another thing. I don't have a mom.
The iPod was a present from her... The day she died. Infront of me.
We used to cycle everyday. Me on my red bike. Mom on her purple bike
to school, to the park, the shops and the CBD. It was Friday evening and we always had our evening to ourselves, away from my whole family. We had gone to Hatties HairStyles for a trim, dip dye hair style and curler hair. Mom dyed her hair lilac. I dyed mine green. We then we to Elza's Electornics to buy my iPod. It was amazing. The park was our next stop, we sat on the bench next to the trees and post.
I talked to her. ages n ages n ages. We were going home. We crossed the road. You imagined what happened next. A roaching blue racing car sped across and flopped to the floor, was my mom. I stood there in shock before yelling into tears.
I never Ever went to the hairdresses on a Friday, or the park, or the electronics store... Only the gravestones with my mom's bike.
