It was the day before the Inter-High and Kaita was pacing around her house nervously. She had sent Izuki a text asking if he wanted to do something together today but she still hadn't got a reply. Izuki on the other hand, across the street was mulling over the thought that Kaita had asked him out, but he didn't know if he should take it as a date or just hanging out like old times.

"She's never asked before so how exactly do I respond? Where exactly would we go... oh that's it!" Izuki snapped his fingers when he got an idea and texted Kaita back.

"Sure. How about we got to the theme park and there's also a festival that's nearby too. Sound good?"

When Izuki sent Kaita the text he got an instant replay of 'yes at what time should we meet'. Izuki let out a chuckle, he hadn't thought that Kaita would reply straight away, but then again he did leave her waiting for his reply a long time. The two of them had figured the time they would meet and they left at the appropriate time.

Before long Kaita was throwing things around her room, piles of clothes landed on her bed or on the floor. She stood in front of the mirror placing clothes as if deciding a fashion shoot.

"I wonder if this would this be alright or maybe this? But Izuki did say that they would be going to the theme park then the festival at night so maybe something comfortable."

Kaita then pulled out a pair of denim shorts and a white tank top with a light blue lace overlay with a floral design. She cleaned up her room, with clothes everywhere Kaita's room looked as if a tornado had passed through it. The meeting time was getting closer, Kaita stepped out of her house and locked the front door, when she turned around she met Izuki's eyes. A smile appeared on Izuki's face; he came over to Kaita and opened the front gate of her house to let her out.

"Hey there, you all set?"

"Yeah..."

The two started to walk in the direction of the theme park. The sun had already begun to set and the sky was a nice tint of orange and pink. Conversation between the two seemed too happen but then stop, Kaita was nervous but so was Izuki. The two hadn't been alone since the time Izuki had kissed Kaita.

"You look pretty cute in that outfit."

Kaita blushed, "Thanks. So what made you choose the theme park?"

"Oh well I just thought that since we hadn't been there in a while that you might want to go or something."

Kaita let out a soft giggle and smiled at Izuki. The two continued to walk along the silent streets as the made their way to the nearby theme park. As they neared the entrance of the park laughter and chatter could be heard all around. The lights of the park shone brightly as the sun had already disappeared behind some tall buildings.

"So what do you want to do first Kaita? Go on some rides? Go to the Haunted House?" Izuki knew all too well that Kaita couldn't handle a haunted house so he exaggerated the mention of it.

"Not in a million years am I going to go and set foot in a haunted house again. I still get scared just thinking about the haunted house your class put on in elementary. You scared me to death when you jumped out."

Izuki let out a light laugh, "Oh yeah I remember that time. When I jumped out you were as white as a sheet I thought you weren't breathing, but then you go and scream and hit me as I tried to make sure you were okay."

"You deserved it too. Hmph."

Izuki then took Kaita's hand and led her through the park. The occasionally stopped to go on a few rides but Izuki then led Kaita back to the Haunted House. Once Kaita saw what was before her she turned to Izuki.

"I told you I'm not going in there."

"Come on Kaita, just once then we can head to the festival near the station."

Kaita let out a huff, "Fine but if I hit you later it will be punishment for dragging me in there."

"I know, I know. Don't worry. I'll be by your side the whole time. So if you get scared just cling to me."

Kaita clung to Izuki's arm as the two walked into the haunted house. As they proceeded further into the dark attraction Kaita would close her eyes from time to time and hold onto Izuki's arm tightly at things that scared her. Izuki would let out a soft laugh at every reaction Kaita did. As the exit came into view, Kaita loosened her grip on Izuki and walked quickly out of the haunted house.

"Now can we go to the festival?"

"Sure why not. Here."

Kaita blushed lightly as Izuki extended his hand to Kaita. She placed her hand in his and they walked off towards the festival. When they reached the festival not many people were there. One of the vendors caught the attention of Kaita as she saw that he was vending masks. Kaita tug Izuki over to the vendor then held up a mask to Izuki's face.

"I think this fox one suit's you or maybe this Noh mask."

Izuki took hold of the fox mask and bought it. "I like the fox one. It seems more me than that Noh mask."

As the night drew on the festival started to have more visitors. The children that were there exclaimed about getting a good viewing spot. Izuki then asked one of the nearby vendors why someone would need a viewing spot.

"Oh there going to set off fireworks later on."

Izuki thanked the vendor then returned to Kaita who was waiting on a nearby bench with a couple of drinks next to her. Izuki sat down beside her and took hold of one of the drinks.

"Did you go and get these while I was gone?"

"Yeah I did. I thought that you might be thirsty after all the roaming around we've been doing."

Izuki smiled as he thanked Kaita for his drink. "Oh by the way, they're going to be setting off fireworks later. Do you want to go find a better viewing spot?"

"No I like it here. It's quieter than the rest." Kaita blushed when she realized they were practically alone. Then the thought of her feelings crossed her mind. Kaita and Izuki felt the silence was getting the best of them since they both started to fidget. When they turned to look at each other to say something a high pitched sounded filled the night as color burst from the sky. The two looked up and smiled.

"Beautiful..."

"Yeah it is Kaita."

Kaita then got up and faced Izuki with a bright red face. Izuki looked a bit puzzled and stood up too.

"Kaita are you okay? Your face is all red."

"I'm fine....I have something I want you to hear."

"What is it?" Izuki had a somewhat conflicted expression. He knew that Kaita had been having trouble with him and Kagami and didn't know if she had chosen who she would confess to.

"I...I lo....ou."

Izuki couldn't quite hear what Kaita was saying as fireworks kept going off into the night sky. Kaita looked at Izuki wondering what his repose would be he stepped closer to her.

"Repeat what you said I couldn't hear you."

Kaita's faced flushed and then out of being so flustered she raised her voice slightly so Izuki could hear her clearly, "I said I love you!"

Clearly hearing her declaration the second time, Izuki's eyes widened. Kaita had confessed to him. He then became flustered trying to find words to respond to Kaita. But instead he moved closer to Kaita and embraced her.

"I've been waiting to hear those words for so long now."

Kaita was in a daze, she couldn't believe that Izuki was hugging her. Then again he did kiss her when they were in his room. The thought made Kaita blush yet again. She looked up at Izuki and met his soft gaze. As if to hide what the two were doing Izuki held up the fox mask to cover their lips as they met each other's for a soft light kiss.
