3rd POV
Kirishima sat outside the door of his room. He didnt want to completely rest, in case his kings called upon him again. He was always loyal to a fault, but a selfish motive persuaded him to stay alert. He had to see the Y/H haired maiden again- wanted to see you again. His head was swimming in her words before he saw her eyes close.
You dont look like a dragon....
Only one other person had ever told him, and he believed her to be dead over 10 years ago. Its impossible that they were one of the same. After all, he was there when ...it happened.
"Hey! ...Hey wake up Princess!" Kirshima shook the girl a little, scared that he had made her sick.
"Ei, sweetie time to go home...!"
"Mama!! Help me!!" Kirishima yelled out, his eyes heavy with tears. "Mama! I killed her!"
"Killed??!" A woman rushed towards the clearing. "Oh Ei! What happened!!" The woman knelt down taking the girl. However, the fear in her eyes melted away and she let out a relieved sigh.
"Oh..Ei sweetie... Shes not dead or hurt. This young flower is simply resting."
"But mama...!" Kirishima whined a bit, still worried.
"Hush, my little hero...feel the life that flows in her. Use your magic..." She lifted Kirishima's hand, gently placing it on the young girls hand. "Feel...not with your physical being Ei, but with the inner self"
Kirishima hesitated at first, but then followed his mothers instructions, connecting with his magic and slowly...surely.. Making connection with the magic inside you.
"Mama...i feel it... Shes okay!"
"This girl is special. She was born like us, with Ancient magic- blessed by the gods of old. Who is she?"
Kirishima shrugged. "She said she was a princess...?"
His mother nodded. "Go back home okay? I will take her home."
Home... Home...Home
"Fly Eijiro!! Fly away! Go to the Bakugous!!"
"Mama! "
"Go Now!!! The royals have fallen!! All for One is here! GO!"
Kirishima, looked towards the burning castle, no doubt over run by enemies, his mother rushing off to defend one last time.
----
Kirishima eyes opened, bringing him back to the present. He lowered his head, speaking softly. "Dragons are loyal till the fall.... Is it really you?"
"Kirishima?" Shoto's voice cut in. "Are you alright? If your worried for Midoryia, he is resting now. Safe and home."
"And his sister? The maiden?"
"She hasnt woken up yet, but the healer says she will live"
"I need to see her, my king."
Shoto smiled kindly. "No need for formalities here. Now why do you need to see her Eijiro?"
"Shoto...I have connection with her. Its all to much of a coincidence to not be real!"
"Eijiro...explain slower so i may understand."
Kirishima looked at Shoto, his brows knit in confusion. "When was she born? Tell me...If she is Izuku's sister, when was she born? Where was Izuku born??"
"I..im not sure. Katsuki would know this, they grew up together as children. Why?"
Kirishima paced a bit before looking into Shotos eyes. "Y/N...I think...I think she is the lost monarch my mother died for..."
Shoto's eyes widened. "But....theres only one lost monarch.."
"The lost monarch...of All for One's stolen land" Kirishima words sat heavy, as it opened the door to terror.
Shoto shook his head. "Eijiro....Thats impossible. Your mother.. her fate was the same as the royals. No one escaped but you."
Kirishima held his chest, the memories flaring up painfully. "I was the only known survivor, because I ran away. What if she survived? What if her and Izuku were spared!? If they are siblings, it stands to reason they both may have survived. Maybe my original monarch is alive in them! Maybe...maybe my mother didnt die in vain after all!"
Shoto held his breath, not knowing how to address his friend. It was common knowledge that Kirishima still felt harshly for what happened. His inner dragon sulked in endless guilt for not fullfilling his born duty to protect royal blood. When he joined the Bakugous, it gave him a new purpose but nothing could convince him to shed his self blame- not even aiding in the war that united Shouto and Katsuki's kingdom.
"Perhaps, you should visit with Izuku's mother first. Miss Inko is in the guest wing, but seen going to the gardens."
