Of course, as expected, there was an Akuma attack. What was weird about it was that it happened after school. Everyone was saved by ladybug and Chatnoir, leaving the rest of my evening to doodling.
Today was Friday, it was the day that Nathaniel wanted me to go on a date with him, but because of Adrien I denied. It was also a date where a party was being thrown at Chloe's. Knowing Chloe, it would be extravagant.
The dress code wasn't anything fancy, but was supposed to be like club wear. My mother and Father weren't going to be home, they had told me earlier that they had a date scheduled and wouldn't come back until the next morning.
This meant it was the perfect way for me to go to the party without having to ask my parents.
School was done with, so all I had left to do was get my clothes that I designed on. I had on a bright red dress that stopped just above my thighs. It was skin tight, but had an intricate design on the shoulder. The dress was sleeve less, but still contained half sleeves on the shoulders, giving it a more elegant look.
I let my short hair run free instead of putting it in my usual ponytail. Tonight I would try to forget the feelings I've experienced this week. I just wanted to relax, and look good doing it.
I slapped on some red lipstick that matched my dress, and left the rest of my face natural. When I party, I partied hard, so I knew that I wouldn't look well after the night.
I stopped getting ready when I heard the phone ring, it was Alya, of course, probably wondering were I currently was. She was a person who would show up early to a party, while I always showed up late.
When I answered I immediately heard the loud music come through the phone, and then her voice come next. "Girl! Where are you!? Adrien's here!" She stated. She said it like it was going to make me get to the party faster. If only she knew that I didn't care anymore, and that I wasn't denying my old feelings.
"I just got done, taking a cab there now." I grabbed my house key and then my phone. Tikki was staying hidden in my small red bag that I was bringing tonight. After I finished locking up, I finally left the house.
When I got to the party, the music was screaming. I could immediately smell the smoke and alcohol. I was surprised the party wasn't getting shut down, but then remembered that the mayor's daughter is the one who's throwing it.
I walked in, immediately getting a few looks as I tried to find my friends. After about 3 minutes of stares, I found them. Adrien was in a vest, which was very model like of him, with a pair of black khakis. Alya had a skin tight black skirt on with a short black crop top. She had a very nice figure, and it was obvious when seeing her choice of outfit.
"Damn girl." Alya said, grabbing my hand and making us head towards the group. Nino was on the stage, controlling the music.
"How long have you guys been here?" I said loudly since it was hard to hear everything over the music.
"Not very long." She stated. "I'm going to get something to drink, need anything?" She asked. I nodded.
"Some punch would be great." She smiled and turned around, heading towards the drink station. This left me alone with a certain green eyes blonde. His eyes were on me, like he was examining ever single detail. "Having fun Adrien?" I asked, watching as his face visibly became pink.
"Looking beautiful as always, Marinette." He said, coming up to grab my hand and placing a tender kiss on it. This was normal for us, as friends. Now that Adrien was single, it seemed very weird to think about. Most friends don't kiss each other's hands upon meeting one another.
I felt my face flare up while I kept eye contact with the boy in front of me. "Is it getting hot in here?" I asked, fanning myself to try and get rid of the warmth.
"Do you need to sit down or anything?" Adrien asked worriedly. I smiled softly, shaking my head no. I was about to say something when I spotted a familiar bob across the dance floor, Kagami. She was wearing a fluffy black skirt with a white fitted top. Her skin was a flawless as always, and I suddenly felt myself grow self-conscious of what I was wearing.
What if my body wasn't right for this? Maybe I shouldn't have worn this? Maybe I should have-... I stopped panicking when I felt a warm hand grab mine, causing me to look up at the bright green eyes of Adrien's.
"Can I just compliment you again?" He asked suddenly, then shook his own head. He looked around before saying something again. "Never mind, put on this." Out of no where, he pulled a jacket from behind his back, plopping it around my shoulders.
"What are you doing Adrien?" I asked, reaching to take the jacket off.
"Keep it on Marinette." He said, looking at me with an unfamiliar gaze. I rolled my eyes, roughly pulling the rest of the jacket on.
"But I just told you I was getting hot." I whined, fixing my attention back to Adrien. His hand slowly went around me waist as he pulled me into him. Me, not expecting this, almost fell over him with my clumsiness. "S-sorry." I said quickly. He smiled at me before grabbing my hand. I glanced to Kagami again, whose eyes I noticed were focused on us.
Too say it shortly, she looked pissed.
"Adrien." I huffed, stopping him in his tracks. He looked at me with a confused expression before I leaned my head towards the direction of Kagami. "Go talk to her." I said softly.
He looked towards her, then me, then back to her, then me again. He seemed torn. "I told you that I wasn't going to let anything hurt you again." He said with finality in his voice. I brought my hand up to his cheek gently cupping it. "Your a good guy Adrien, what you did was out of character. She deserves a proper explanation." His hand slowly reached up to mine, before he gently took my hand off of his face, placing a small kiss on the palm.
"Fine, but stay here, and keep the Jacket on." I nodded my head, bringing my hand back to my side. He left with an unknowing look, walking towards Kagami slowly. I visibly saw Kagami's eyes brighten and then I knew that their conversation was going to boom.
"Hey Marinette, what was that?" I heard the familiar voice of Alya hit my ears. She smiled then shook her head, walking up to give me the drink in her hand. I gave her a confused look before she spoke up again. "Friends don't just kiss each other's hands while caressing each others cheek." She said.
I swung my hand through the air, "what are you talking about, that's totally normal." I said before taking the cup full of punch out of her hand, and gulping it down before she could say anything. "You got anymore punch left?" I asked.
"Girl, you are crazy."

I felt strange, airy, and out of this world. The world around me was fuzzy, but so clear at the same time. Adrien was still talking to Kagami I believed, well that was until I saw him magically pop up infront of me.
I titled forward before my head landed on his chest. "Alya, what did you give her?" I heard Adrien's concerned voice, but chose to ignore it. Adrien's chest was hard, like a rock, and I could just tell he was ripped from underneath his clothes. "And what did I tell you about keeping that jacket on Marinette?" Adrien asked, lifting my face towards his.
"What? I only gave her punch." Alya spoke up. Then I heard Nino's unfamiliar voice come into the conversation.
"Did someone spike our dudettes punch?" Nino asked. I rested my whole body on Adrien's feeling as if I was going to fall asleep at any minute. I felt eerily strange, like I was on top of the planet.
"Whoever did that..." Adrien said, the rest was a mumbled mess, or at least that was all I could hear.
"I'm tired." I said, yawning into Adrien's chest. It was then, in my drunken state, that I noticed the height difference. He was at least a head and a half taller then me, meaning I would have to stand on my tippy toes to just barley reached his chin.
"I know Princess, just stay with me." He said, before I felt myself being hoisted up into the air, and being carried bridal style. I felt aloof as I pulled towards the warmth of Adrien's chest.
I heard a few "Aw's" bit drowned them out as I clutched onto Adrien. I could already feel the oncoming head ache.
