As the Journey Begins... Pokemon!

Izuku Midoriya was a twelve year old that was ready to start his journey. He winced as he tripped over his feet, straitening out and running faster towards the Pokemon Lab. This was a major Starter Pokemon event. Every ten years, Professors from many regions brought together Starter Pokemon from many different regions and this was the third time this event was occurring. He knew what Pokemon he wanted. Of course, he had many backup plans. As he arrived he skidded to a halt, not wanting to get in the way as he walked up to the line. There were four hundred kids starting out today and they would all have a month to train before all of the Pokemon School entrance exams started. The most well known Pokemon School was UA. It stood for the United Alliance Pokemon School.

He finally made his way to the front of the line, looking at all of the labeled Pokeballs. He scanned the water types before smiling happily and grabbing a Totodile. He walked back towards where he had spotted his mother's mop of green hair.

"Oh, Izuku! Did you get the Pokemon you wanted?" Izuku nodded, tapping the release button and letting the stage one Pokemon out. "Oh! what's this sweetheart called, Izu?" He sighed at his mothers antics. He loved her dearly but sometimes she could be overbearing.

"This is Totodile." Izuku walked a few steps closer towards the Pokemon, receiving a scared glare from the smaller. Izuku watched as Kenta, Grayson, Riley and Alder walked up towards him in his peripheral. He slowly reached out his hand to the now growling Pokemon. He ignored the excited whispers of Kenta.

"He's going to do the hand thing, isn't he? He is!" Izuku knew Kenta meant well but he was currently trying not to get bitten. Izuku's mother, Inko Midoriya, had backed up, running over to talk with her old friend Mitsuki. The Totodile sniffed his hand, hesitating before slipping its snout into Izuku's hand and letting out a sound similar to that of a pur. Izuku sighed in relief, stroking the Totodile. He would make his father proud. He knew his mother was lying when she said his father was just on a Pokemon journey. His father was either dead or he left Izuku and his mother. Permanently.

He glanced up at his main friend group, smiling at their Starters. They would be the very best, that no one ever was.

"Totodile, use Ice Fang, let's go!" Izuku's Pokemon rushed forward, attacking the Pichu that was in midair. The Tiny Mouse Pokemon was flung into a tree, swirls in its eyes. So far, his Totodile had a move set that consisted of Ice Fang, Bite, Water Gun, and Hydro Pump. He found himself grinning, Totodile and Izuku had managed to grow close in the three days they had been together. "Let's go Pokeball!" He tossed the red and white sphere at the small yellow Pokemon and cheered when it disappeared into the ball with a 'ding'.

He spent the rest of the fading daylight traveling to a nearby Pokemon Center and healing his two Pokemon. He knew that he could end up running into his childhood bully Katsuki soon. After all, they had taken the same trail just like everyone else from Matsufu Town. They next city over was Naruvasta city and that's where Katsuki, Izuku, and everyone else from his home were heading. Who knows, there's also the chance that he runs into Alder, Grayson, Kenta, or Riley.

"One more time, use Crunch!" Totodile leapt at the rock they were using for practicing, and used Crunch. Just as Izuku had planned, it was a step up from Bite. Pichu had also improved greatly and was close to evolving. He had gifted his Pichu a Soothe Bell, something his grandfather of his mothers side had given him. Pichu currently knew the moves Tail Whip, Disarming Voice, Charge, and Thunder Shock. It had been a week since he started his journey and he planned to be at Naruvasta by nightfall tomorrow.

Heyo! Heyo! Heyo! I hope you all enjoyed, I will be updating this story quite often. Also, I understand that the movesets are unrealistic for a level 5-10 Pokemon but... well I'm still keeping them.
