Flashback to 5 years ago.....

It was a sunny day, well not exactly but there was definitely some sunlight that decided to stretch beyond the curtains and hit my eyes. Annoying but I guess even the sun wanted to make an effort to get me out of bed and make a good first impression.

Today was different compared to most days. I mean still felt the same but different in the sense of stability. I was finally going to finish my last year of high school without transferring to a different school, in a different area part way through the year. It's a bit exciting but it's no different to every other first day I've had. Having grown to be quite accustomed to the mundanity of it all. I blame all my past experiences for that, though I'm not complaining, gives me a reason to be just as boring that people would just leave me alone.

I moved around a lot, while growing up due to my parents jobs. Don't get me wrong I love my parents but having to restart constantly in different areas left me friendless but I didn't mind that. I much preferred be a lone wolf as it makes saying goodbyes a lot easier because you can't say goodbye when you have no friends right.

After deciding to get out of bed, I made the effort to look decent. Prepping my Clothes on the bed before I hop into my bathroom for a quick shower.  It didn't take long before I heard the call from my parents to come down and have breakfast. That was a first. Is this them making up for all the times they couldn't make any of my first days? I find that cute but not really necessary. After a final rinse of my body, I hopped out and got myself ready, changing into my usual attire.

"Y/N. Sweetie, come down and have breakfast."

Following the scent of bacon and eggs downstairs, I am welcomed by an unfamiliar face.

"This is Yugyeom. Yugyeom, meet my daughter Y/N. He's a family friend that goes to the school you will be attending. When his family knew we were moving here they thought it might be good to have him show you around and all, have a friend." Mother spoke, as he left an impressionable smile. A family friend? This is a first? I barely have any friends what more family friends? Then again we kept moving so couldn't really have much friendly visits now and then.

"Now I know you're thinking how? Well we were friends long before you were born, we just got busy in our own lives we couldn't meet and well introduce our kids." Well, I don't blame you, I mean I barely have friends because of your busy life.

"Well its the least we could do, considering that you helped us when we were struggling." As he spoke there was a glint of a sparkle in his eyes as if underneath those iris held a galaxy far beyond human reach. Just as his hair, dark and luscious as can be. Not gonna lie, he was handsome, a little too handsome for my liking, I mean come on if someone like me had a friend like that I could be a laughing stock at school, especially being the new girl and all. Yeah doesn't help my case at all. For all I knew he could be one of the popular guys as well, I'd be a target of bullying. But at the same would he there to stop them? Or is he just showing a nice face in front of my mum?

"What do say Y/N?" I look at them in shock. Did I just zone out thinking about this guy? Excuse me?

"Sorry what?"
"Did you want a drive to school or walk?"
"Honey? You okay?"
"Yeah sorry.  You drive?" Just as I ask, he hangs a pair of keys in front of my face.
"It's not much, but it does the job, unless you want to walk?"
I pause out of hesitation. Can I really trust this guy? I've barely talked to anyone other than my own parents, he is but a stranger to me even if he is a so called 'family friend.'
"I don't bite. You can trust me" as if reading my mind would help your case, I still can't fully trust you, but what choice do I have?
"Okay. Drive I guess? Don't want to be late for my first day of school." Giving a weak smile, we started to head out to his car but not before mum told us off for not having breakfast first.
"Yes mum." Instantly I sat on the dinning table, Yugyeom followed suit sitting opposite me,

"I'm not sure if we have any of the same classes, but I can show you around campus during lunch. The important buildings and all, how's that sound?" As we walk to his car, he made conversation which wasn't too bad if I have to say. He seems genuine about this whole situation.
"Sounds good to me. Kinda don't want to be the typical new girl, you know." I laugh and so did he
"Noted." He smiled, unlocking his car and opening the passenger side surprising me with this action before running to his side.
"Thank you."

It wasn't long till we reached the school. It was more than I had expected, but if being honest, I wasn't expecting anything. This was something else.
"Too much?" His voice suddenly echoed in my ears. I turned to him
"You look like you've never see a school."
I have just not like this

"Not like this." I'm sure I look like a child, gazing at my surroundings as he parks his car.
I'm finishing my last year of high school in this fancy school? Wow just wow.
"Come let's go to the office, and sort out your classes"
I nods as we hop of and step onto school grounds.
