Year 4
After the first task ended everybody appeared to forgive Harry. Or maybe they were just too concentrated on who they are going to invite at the Yule Ball.
I was hopeful Harry would ask me but he didn't mention anything about it and there were only a couple days left.
I was sitting in the library with Susan when Harry walked in. He was visibly anxious and he kept looking to the ground.
-'Umm... hi, can I have a moment with you, Arya?'
-'Of course'. We walked to another empty table.
-'It's everything alright Harry, you seem tense.'
-'I was just wondering... if you would like to go to the ball with me?'
-'I would love to, Harry' I answered right away.
-'Brilliant, I'll see you there then.'
~The Yule ball ~
I was ready to go, even if my anxiety started to be visible. I choose to wear a red dress and to let my hair down. Harry was taller than me so I could wear a nice pair of heels without being taller than him.
I went into the corridor to meet Harry. He was already waiting for me. He smiled as I walked to him. I couldn't help but smile too. I have to admit he was really handsome in a natural way, his hair was longer than in the previous year but I liked it.
-'You look amazing' he said to me, taking my hand.
-'I could say the same about you'
-'Are you ready to dance, Potter, Blake?' professor Mcgonagall asked.
-'To dance?' Harry asked.
-'It's a tradition that the champions will open the dance'
-'To dance? You said nothing about a dance in front of everybody!' I said to him, clenching his hand.
-'Do you think I knew about it?' he said flustrated.
We walked into the great hall. I could feel all my eyes on me and this thought was probably the most frightening, not to mention that I can't dance.
The music started and we began to dance. He was just as bad at dancing as I was. After a few seconds I started to relax letting him lead the dance.
-'That was horrible' I said as we walked to a table.
-'Let's not do this...like ever again' he said smiling. We both burst out laughing.
-'It's so boring here' I said after a half an hour of sitting at the table.
-'Do you want to go out? Just us... I mean Ron doesn't look like he would like to leave.'
I nodded my head in a yes.
We walked around the castle for a few minutes and then we sat down on a bench.
I noticed that Harry was anxious, bitting his nails and shaking his leg.
-'Are you OK Harry ?' I asked him.
-'Don't you think that things are different... lately?'
-'What do you mean?'
-'I mean... you know when we are alone it is like something changed... Don't you feel the same?' he asked looking into my eyes now.
So I wasn't the only one. He was feeling the same.
-'Yes, things started to change for me since the 3rd year' I couldn't help but smile.
He placed his hand on my jawline pulling me closer to him. I closed my eyes as soon as his lips met mine. His lips were unexpectedly soft and warm, unlike mine that were harsh from constantly biting because of stress. He kissed my bottom lip and slowly moved to my upper lip. I placed my hand on his shoulder. I felt like I was about to explode, like fireworks would come out of my eyes If I would ever open them. That was the moment I realised how much I wanted to do this before.
He pulled away and I gasped for air not realising that I was holding my breath even after the kiss ended.
He looked to the ground but as soon as I grabbed his hand he looked back at me.
-'I liked it' I said. Only after I realised how stupid it must've sound. I started to bite my bottom lip again.
-'So that's why your bottom lip it's not soft' he said.
My eyes got wider.
-'Oh, sorry... Did I say something bad? He asked concerning.
-' No it's absolutely fine'
-'So we are... like dating?' he said more to himself.
-'Yeah I guess we are dating.' I said.
-'It's really cold. We should go back inside.'
-'Where have you two been?' Hermione yelled at us as soon as we came back. 'It doesn't matter, go to bed all of you!'
-'What did you do to her?!' I whispered to Ron. He did not answer.
