My parents were out again, which meant it was time to take a tour of the house, again. I ran down the long bedroom hallway in my socks, sliding into the wall at the end, which now had several patch marks from when I’d busted into it. I laughed as I ran to the other end. There were perks to living in the biggest house that humanity has ever seen. I knew my dads would be back soon, and the best part of them leaving was hiding before they got back. Me being their only child, I was everything. Besides the money and their company, I was always the first priority. Case wants it, they get it. I ran all the way down to the first floor, then all the way to the top floor, surveying the grounds and looking for a quality spot that was roomy enough for me to hang out for a little while they were looking for me.
I got to the second floor again, and found the perfect thing. It was outside of the guest bedroom, a trunk wear we kept sheets for the queen bed. I opened it up, and sat down inside it, situating myself and moving the sets of sheets to get comfortable. I shut the trunk over me and leaned back, getting good and comfy. I might be here for a while.
Pretty soon, I felt the trunk being moved. It must be launder coming to put the clean sheets in. It was pretty empty. I might have to get a new hiding place, but now I could jump out and scare the launder. That would be funny, She’d jump out of her skin and run home to her wife. Or husband. I always forget there’s… Heteros in this world. I mean I guess they can be okay people as long as they use protection. Ugh, there are way too many kids in this world. I sighed as I was carried along. I felt myself getting put down, and got ready to spring out.
