A/N-this is before Gabe. Also I do not own Percy Jackson and never will. I will not be repeating this cause I'm lazy.

----------------------------------------------

The storm outside raged loudly. A flash of lightning reveals a small six year old boy with wide sea green eyes clutching a Dori(A/N-the blue fish from finding Nemo because I don't think I spelled it right) plushie to his chest.

He opened his mothers door quietly planning to calmly and maturely wake her up. Of course he wasn't afraid of a thunder storm. Pffft. He was a big boy now, and his mommy might be scared of the really loud noises.

Suddenly, an extremely loud clap of thunder sent him running as fast as he could towards his mommy's bed and dove under her covers effectively scaring the crap out of her.

Sally turned to look at shivering lump under the covers beside her. "Percy," she asked tiredly, "are you okay? Did the thunder storm scare you?" "No," came the muffled but indignant reply, "I just wanted to make sure you weren't scared."

Sally shook her head and pulled the six year old into a hug. "My hero," she said kissing his forehead, "would you stay in here then and keep me safe?" Another loud clap of thunder followed by a bright flash of lightning made Percy tighten his arms around her.

"Okay," Percy squeaked, "if it makes you not scared." Sally smiled at her son before they snuggled down under her big quilt and went to sleep. She brushed the dark hair from his sleeping eyes. My little hero.
