It was night time. The baby was with her brothers in their chamber after her feeding. Both were pampering her, and were trying to make her sleep. But all efforts couldn't succeed to bring a single trace of sleepiness in baby.
"Kanha, she is just like you," Dau told swinging Gudiya higher in arms.
"Nice compliment. But what similarity have you noticed in between me and her?" Placing finger on his chin Kanha asked playfully.
"Stubbornness!" Dau answered in one word, and continued his task.
"What dau! How could you say this about me? About your sweet and innocent Kanha! Not only this, you also called our Gudiya as stubborn," Kanha's playfulness wasn't something new to gain dau's attention.
"I said only the truth, Kanha. See, we are making so much efforts. But she isn't sleeping. Only continuing her giggling on our efforts. Is this stubbornness or not?" Dau asked still continuing his task.
"Dau, you have started taking your disciplinary classes from now onwards! Have pity on this new born," Kanha folded hands dramatically.
"What are you saying, Kanha? I am not that much strict. If I was strict then you couldn't have abled to join me in all your plans," Dau defended himself from Kanha's statement.
"Means you are admitting that you have equal share in all my deeds! So, why are you accusing only me, Dau?" Kanha asked in a mischievous voice, but still not such attention from dau.
"Kanha, no one can defeat you in game of words. I accept my defeat. I just pray that our Gudiya won't follow your this skill of trapping others through words," Hearing this Gudiya started to cry immediately.
"See, she didn't like your statement. You made her cry," Kanha came forward to pat her head gently.
"Ok, my fault. Now please make her calm. She is crying in such a high pitch I fear that after sometimes we will experience earth quake here," A panicked dau told only to make her cry more loudly.
"Kanha, now what to do? Please tell," Dau elbowed Kanha making him took few steps away from dau.
"Simple, Dau. Ask sorry to her," He suggested.
"Sorry, Gudiya. I just want you to cooperate with us in order to make our efforts successful. But if you don't want then it's fine. Your brothers can awake with you. Please stop crying," Dau told genuinely, and she stopped her crying.
"See, the magic of love and politeness!" Kanha exclaimed touching her cheeks, to which she giggled.
"It's not any magic. When you had born you made maiya to scold me without any fault at our first meet, and now she made me to ask sorry to her. You both are drama company," She again gestured the beginning of her cry.
"I am taking my words back. You both don't have any fault. It's all my fate," Dau told hurriedly.
Hearing this she giggled more, and Kanha laughed uncontrollably.
