Chapter 4

EMMET'S POV

Monday mornings were the worst. I spent the whole day with Clay at the 'beach'. It actually was a huge lake, but everyone called it the beach.

I shut my alram off and got ready. Throwing on a pair of ripped jeans, and a Asking Alexandria shirt. I went to the bathroom door, but it was closed.

"Lucy hurry up i need to brush my teeth!"

Hearing a thud and a grunt, the door opened. "Thank you."

I ruffled her hair and she hit my hand away. Someone was in a bad mood. But i saw her eyes were puffy and red from crying. Putting my hand on her shoulder i made her turn and face me.

"Hey whats wrong Lu?"

"I-I-I caught Lance cheating on me." SHe gulped. "Last night."

My hands turned into fists, I was pissed. Im going to kill him. Lucy must have read my mind.

"No Emmet, please dont do anything." Looking up at me with fresh tears in her eyes. "Please."

I nodded my head. SHe smiled and walked away to get ready. I took out my phone and texted Clay. A smile went across my face, she said I couldnt do anything. But she said nothing about Clay.

"Lucy come on I'm leaving!"

"Yeah yeah I'm coming."

We drove to school in silence. Clay met us in the parking lot, looking extemely pissed. But when he saw us get out he put on a smile.

"Hey guys. Lets get to class!" A little too chipper Clay.

"Oh hey! Theres Lance! Hey Lance come here for a second, i need you too meet someone!" Clay ran towards Lance, who had some girl all over him. Clay grabbed him by the shirt and got in his face. I was right behind him, making sure he didnt get in trouble. "You hurt Lu, you have to deal us." With that said Clay punched him in the face, looking pretty damn proud of himself. I grabbed him by the shoulders so he would lunge at him and dragged him away. When we were a safe distance away i let go of him. Looking over at Lucy I saw she had a small smile on her face. She must have seen me looking because the next thing i knew i was hit in the head with a book.

"OW! What was that for!"

If looks could kill....

"You know what I'm talking about! WHat just happened!"

Raising my hands in surrender "Hey you said I couldnt do anything, you said nothing about Clay."

A huge grin was on my face. She was about to protest when we heard screams. We went over to see what happened and their was a huge crowd. Then they started chanting something. As we edged closer they were saying 'Wreck This Journal!'. We all looked at eachother, then saw security and body guards escorting them!

"OH MY GOD ITS JAY!" I looked back at Lu who was jumping up and down like a little kid. I rolled my eyes.

"Come on lets get to class before where late." Tugging on her arm to make her go. hen clay stopped suddenly.

"Do you guys think I wont get in trouble for punching Lance since Wreck This Journal is here?"

"Probaly" Me and Lucy said in usion. Looking at eachother we laughed, makeing our way to class. As we walked, I saw the group of fans had dispersed. There were atleast four body guards around them. Between the gaps I say a mess of long dark brown hair. When the person turned around i was met with a beautiful pair of green eyes. Then they smiled at me! It was Shay Cleeve and she smiled at me! I must of had a goofy grin on my face, because she laughed a little. Suddenly a hand was in my face, waving back and forth.
