I was walking. I looked down to see my faithful year old puppy, Murphy, trotting beside me with a doggy grin plastered on his face. WIth the crisp winter air nipping at my nose as the sun shined brightly down upon me. At that one moment all seemed ok in the world, that is the last time it would be like that for a long time.

All the sudden the brilliant blue sky turned black. A boom thundered across the sky. People started running out of there houses left and right. I soon found myself surrounded by them. I was being pushed along with Murphy at my side howling. Sirens started to wail as I frantically tried to seperate myself from the crowd. Gun shots started to go off simultatiniosly and the people didn't  stop.

I soon found that I could not seperate myself from the crowd. I stumbled on a stick that was laying on the sidewak and while I was regaining my balance I was pushed from behind. I fell hitting my head on the pavement with a loud crack. My vision blurred and suddenly I didn't have any strength left in my body. No one stopped to help me up. People were trampling me from all sides which caused my entire body to ache. Gathering the last bit of my strength I curled myself into a ball and in a barely audible wisper called out, "Murphy." I felt him brush against my head as he sat on top of me protecting me by growling at anyone who tried to step on me. Then, everything went black.
