He walks to the closest door, passing by his desk, he slowly steps forward. Opening the door, his levels of adrenaline rise, making him feel somehow energetic and able to run yet shaky and scared. As he stares into the closet, now dimly lit by those same lights. He stares into the face of nothingness, his fear starting to drift, he turns back, and goes back to her bed. Then taking one last look, he closes the double doors, turning the light back off.
Slowly starting to drift off he hears that same gravely voice, "See you soon.." then a very distant whisper that he couldn't quite make sense of.
