2:54 am.

In 6 minutes the plan would come into effect. In 6 minutes their mission would start. In 6 minutes their actions will decide between life and death.

In 6 minutes their lives would change forever.

Everyone was moving at a fast pace, going over their plans a few more times just to make sure everything was going according to plan.
Even though when dealing with the Port Mafia, no plan could be secure enough. They were quiet, just their most important things stuffed into a black backpack. A backpack as black as the cold night they would do the riskiest action in their lives.

Oda Sakunosuke, the lowest-ranked Port Mafia member and Ango Sakaguchi a spy infiltrated into the Port Mafia and man working for the government were planning on escaping. They were about to betray the Mafia and be declared outlawed.
The problem was the boy they have decided to take with them.

He doesn't know anything about what would happen that night.
Dazai Osamu, a 15-year, gifted boy got forced into joining the Port Mafia by their current boss, Mori Ogai, at the age of 13. When Mori found him huddled together under a bridge, it might have been the most consequential encounter in Dazai's entire life. The boy has suffered inexplicable torture and the young couple, Oda and Ango were not having it. Mori wanted him to become an emotionless machine who didn't - couldn't feel any pain. The first year of being in the Mafia was filled by 20 hours of "training sessions" as Mori would call them. In those "training sessions", they would physically and mentally abuse the boy.
Only a year after having to join the Mafia, his combat-skills got trained. He got trained by Mori himself. Every day has been a merciless day of training. Training for hours straight until the boy collapsed at the end of the day. Passing out from either exhaustion or injuries. The only goals during those times were "surviving" and "get unconscious before he can give you the worst pain you've experienced in your whole life." Because despite not being able to feel a lot of pain anymore, Dazai hates pain.
The young couple has never seen what's under his bandages but they can only imagine his body to look as horrifying as the torture methods used on the boy.

Demon Prodigy.

That's what everyone called him.

Dazai had dull eyes, not being bothered to show any kinds of emotions. Any will to live wiped out of his head. His brunette hair hiding half of his face along with the bandages covering up his right eye. The black coat he was wearing is way too big on his slim body, making him look even more threatening for his age.

He had to partner up with Chuuya Nakahara, formerly known as "the king of the sheep." After his friends had betrayed him, he joined the Mafia. Being completely under Mori's control, he obeyed every one of Mori's orders ever since he bowed to him. Together they were known as the most fearful, destructive team.
"Double Black" they would call them.
Everyone knew them; everyone feared them. They were Mori Ogai's biggest weapon. Them being able to destroy a complete organisation in less than one night is an exceptional performance. Both of them just need to do a tad more work to be promoted to executives.

But the day they met the boy they both felt responsible for his well-being. Without ever saying it out loud, they both declared each other his adoptive parents. Odasaku and Ango would take care of Dazai.
They'd go to their favourite Bar, Lupin, every night to make sure Dazai was okay.
They'd look after him every second of their free time. Before work hours, after and in between them. As destructive as Dazai could get, as messed up the thoughts and voices inside his head were and Odasaku and Ango knew about that.
Being the only one's who were taking his seemingly harmless jokes about suicide seriously.
