Draco's POV
When Potter is finished with hanging out with the two men we walk out of the classroom and down to the dungeons since it is a Saturday. When we get there we are surprised to see Weasley standing there.
"Hey Harry," he says.
"Hi Ron, whats up?"
"Just wanted to see if you wanted to go hangout."
Harry looks at me for confirmation but I don't get a chance to respond, "Why are you looking at him? I asked what you wanted not him."
"Well he would have to come and I wanted to make sure he doesn't have plans or anything."
"What do you care, he is an asshole Slytherin."
"Look Ron, I know you don't like him or anything, but don't be an prick. I'm trying to make sure no one dies in the next few months."
"Whatever, are you coming or not."
"Draco?"
"I wanted to go to the library, but I guess we can go later."
"Alright then," he says before turning to his idiot of a best friend. "What do you wanna do?"
"Well, we could go flying."
"Shit, that reminds me. What the hell are we going to do about quidditch?
"Fuck, I have no idea. I guess we just can't play for a few months."
"No, how the hell are we gonna win without you Harry? You're the best seeker at this school."
"Excuse me-"
Potter cuts me off, "He's right Malfoy, you haven't beaten me one."
"You little bi-"
"Heyyyyyyy," I hear Pansy's voice call out from behind us.
"Hey Pansy," Harry says with a smile.
"What, no hey for me," Theo asks dramatically, placing a hand over his heart.
"I'm sorry, hello Theodore."
"Hey Harry."
"What, no one is gonna acknowledge me," I say faking hurt.
"It's not your fault, we just like Harry better."
"You haven't even been friends for 24 hours," I exclaim.
They all start laughing when our good time is ruined once again by Weasel. "What the hell just happened? You're friends with them Harry, how could you?"
"We talked and made up. I'm basically stuck with them for a while, might as well make the best out of it. Plus, they are actually quite fun to be around."
"Oh stop it Harry," Theo says, "you're making me blush."
My former enemy sends him a wink, "You guys wanna hang out with us?"
They both agree. "What, I never said they could come," the git says.
"Why can't they, we are all cool now. I bet you would like them if you gave them a chance," Harry says, trying to calm him down.
"No Harry, we aren't all cool. You may be fine to hang out with them, but I'm not. They are all asshole Slytherins. And to make matter even worse they are death eaters who probably just want all of us dead."
"ENOUGH," he roars. "Ron, what the fuck is wrong with you. You have no idea what you are talking about. They aren't death eaters, their parents might be, but that doesn't mean they are. If they were they would have the mark, but guess what you ignorant twat. THEY DON'T. So shut the fuck up. I'm friends with them now, so deal with it, or get the fuck away from me."
Theo, Pansy and I all look at each other in disbelief. Sending each other looks of 'what the fuck just happend?' or 'did that just happen?'
"You can't be serious."
"Oh, but I am."
"Fine then, but I hope you know that you parents would be ashamed of you."
What. The. Actual. Fuck. is going on.
I feel Harry tense and every glass item in the room shatters. I grab his hand without thinking, rubbing my thumb along his. He visibly calms down and mutters a "sorry" while fixing everything with a swish of his wand. I quickly pull my hand away as much as I can in the situation, hoping he doesn't realize what I did. I don't think he realizes, or he at least doesn't show it.
"Are alright Harry," Pansy asks while walking over to the boy an rubbing circles along his back. He stands there frozen, his face is emotionless, but his eyes are filled with a storm of anger and hurt.
"Fine, can we go somewhere else?"
"Yeah sure."
He starts walking us through the castle and soon we find our selves at the astronomy tower. When we get there he stops and stares out at the edge of the Forbidden Forest. "I remember when Sirius was following me around in his dog form and I saw his standing right there when I was playing quidditch against Slytherin in third year. I though he was a grim, so I was terrified, but not of the fact that I thought it meant I would die. I was scared of the fact that if I died then I would be disappointing everyone. I would be letting everyone down, and screwing the entire wizarding world because I wouldn't be able to stop Voldemort." We all flinch at the name but allow him to continue. "I thought that my parents would be ashamed of me for it. Even though I've never met them, I still wanna make them proud. Make everyone proud. Them, Remus, Sirius, McGonagal, the Weasleys. Even Dumbledore, despite the shit he put me through. Everyone would be screwed and it would be my fault, because everyone depended on me. They still do. Do you know what its like to have the entire fucking world depend on you every since you were a little kid? Its fucking bullshit, but I do it anyway, I put up with it anyway. Because I don't wanna disappoint them. I was scared of dying, not because I didn't want to die, but because I didn't want to disappoint people. What the fuck it wrong with me?"
"Nothing, absolutely nothing. Well you might be a git sometimes, but who's not," Pansy says trying to lighten the mood. He laughs slightly at that.
"I get it. I mean the three of us used to do anything for out parents because we didn't want to make them ashamed. I know it's not the same thing, but the point is, it's okay not to want to disappoint people."
"Thanks guys. I don't even know why I told you that to be honest. I find it funny that the first people I tell one if my darkest secrets to are people that I used to be enemies with 24 hours ago."
"What can we say, we're amazing," I say, causing everyone to give a small laugh.
"Well if we're telling secrets. My dad only told me he was proud of my one time, and that was when I told him that I was going to be friends with you. He said it would be useful in the future. At that moment I didn't know what he meant, all I knew was that I made him proud. I think thats part of why I was so mad when you rejected my friendship," I say, happy I finally could get that off my chest.
"I never thanked you Harry," Theo says.
"Thank me for what," the boy asks, oblivious to what he is talking about.
"For sending my dad to Azkaban. I don't know about everyone else, but that was one of the best things that ever happened to me. I can finally be free to be myself, so thank you."
"I wanna thank you too. I know it might not seem like much, but it changed my life for the better," Pansy says.
"Same here," I say awkwardly.
"I don't know what you guys are thanking me for, I didn't do much."
"What are you talking about, you defeated Voldemort, which intern saved our lives."
"Okay then, you're welcome. Thank you guys. My entire life no one ever just saw me as me, not the boy who lived, or the chosen one, never just Harry. But you guys did, you just treated me like a person. So thanks."
We spend the rest of the day laughing about past memories and bonding. Who would have thought this would happen? Certainly not us.
