The After School Curse

A/N: I wrote this when I was in eighth grade so it may not be as good as some of my other stories (with grammar and all that) I fixed it up a little bit but there's probably still a few here and there mistakes but hey it shows progress!. Anyways enjoy!

It was Friday afternoon at Cranberry Middle School. Like any other Friday, everyone was excited for the weekend. Especially Cami and her friends: Alex, Sammy, Jack, and Lola. They have been planning for something after school all week, and the day was finally here!

“Hey Cami!” The boy behind her has been bugging her for ten minutes already. She was surprised the teacher hadn’t noticed yet, although they were near the back of the room.

“Cami!” he said while poking her shoulder.

“What?!” she said turning to face him. He was Jason, one of the kids who think they could get away with anything.

“I over heard Alex and Jack talking at lunch earlier today,” he said grinning, “they were talking about a plan for after school with you, Lola, and Sam.”

Cami stared at him both shocked and annoyed. “Well, umm,” she said, “yeah, we are. Why do you care?”

He laughed, “Let’s just say I know some one who would like to join you” he said winking.

Cami continued to stare at him for a bit. “What?! No! Nononono!” she said shaking her head.

“Aw come on Cam” he said trying to convince her to say ‘yes’

“No!” she said loudly but not yelling.

He just grinned and said, “If you let me come along I’ll help you out of detention”

“What?!” Cami said and turned around to see everyone, even the teacher, staring at her. She blushed and finally said “fine” and put her head down on her desk.

Later that day Sammy, Jack, and Alex met at the flag pole and waited for what they thought would be Cami and Lola, but to their surprise…

Hi Cami! Hi…Jason?” Alex said, “Umm…”

“Don’t ask!” Cami said interrupting him “where’s Lola?” she asked.

“Don’t know” Alex answered, “maybe she got held in for something”

Cami sighed “She’s always late!” she looked down at her feet and clutched her fists.

“Hey don’t be such a downer!” Alex said trying to cheer her up.

“Yeah that’s Sammy’s job!” Jack said laughing. Sammy stomped on his foot and Jason laughed at them.

“Owie!” Jack cried hopping on one foot while holding the other “Sammy!”

Cami and Alex started to laugh but were cut off by Lola’s footsteps coming up to the group.

“Hey guys, sorry I’m late” she said catching her breath, “you know me, P.E., plus trying to look my best, equals total makeover. Well kind of.”

Sammy just laughed while Jason said “I’m not surprised.” Sammy stopped laughing and glared at him. “What you know it’s true” he said defending himself.

Sammy thought for a moment then said “yeah your right” then she started laughing again.

“Ha! Ha! Very funny!” Lola said sarcastically. She turned to Cami and Alex looking annoyed. Alex looked at Cami.
