Chapter Three

Amelia and Sam take a seat opposite the woman. "We'd like to talk to you about your nephews" Amelia starts "Samuel Davidson" she adds. The woman leans back in her chair. "He has been a troublesome child since he lost his parents. Drugs mostly" the woman sighs  "what is this about?" She asks with a frown. "I'm afraid that he was shot and killed. Along with his brother" Sam replied. The woman tears up. "Have you heard of a man called Abdul Shabaz?" Sam asks, looking at her apologetically. She shakes "What happened to my nephews?" She asked. Sam and Amelia lean forward. "Jasper was shot and killed after contacting the cops about a potential threat. Lead by Abdul. His brother Samuel was at the scene and unfortunately..." Amelia pauses, "He, too was shot and killed after raising a gun to federal agents. We believe Jasper phoned in the tip of the bomb and Abdul had him killed for it. Samuel was most likely trying to save his brother but was too late" Sam finished for her. "I am so sorry for your losses" they add together as they stand up to leave.

Sam holds the door of the base open for Amelia, Callen stood waiting for them. "The aunt said Samuel had became troublesome when their parents died. He was into drugs, she claims to not know Abdul Shabaz." Sam tells Callen, he nods. "I got Eric and Nell find out what they could about Jamie. Turns out he's here in LA. My guess is Samuel found out and told Abdul. They planned to kill him with a bomb just as he did their parents" Callen said as they walked to their desks. "Callen! Bomb just went off downtown. LAPD just text" Deeks rushes over with Kensi. "Let's go" Sam says as they all rush out again. "I've got footage!" Nell shouts down to them "luckily no ones been killed so far!" Sam sighs "Let's watch. See what we spot" Sam looks to Callen, who nods in agreement. They run up to obs and Eric plays the recording. The bomb detonates, the team stare, horrified by the damage. "Christ!" Amelia sighs as the footage ends. "Rewind it back. 2 minutes before the bomb goes off" Callen says looking to Eric, Eric nods and spins back to his computer. "There. Pause now!" Callen says, Eric stops the tape as Callen points to a dark skinned, bald man. "Not enough for facial rec" Nell says shaking her head. "No but Adbul is bald, I'd say around the same height and build too" Amelia replies.

Amelia lays by Callen, he smiles at her. "Is it always this difficult to capture someone?" She sighs, Callen shrugs as they sip at their drinks. "Sometimes. Sometimes it isn't" He replies "but we will get there" He adds. "I got Eric to put out an APB on Abdul Shabaz, hopefully something pops up. And Nell is searching for him using Facial rec" Amelia pauses and takes a sip of her beer. "Then sleep. They'll text" Callen whispers as he lets her head rest on his chest. She could feel his heart beat on her ear and his chest rising and falling gently with each breath. Amelia sighs and closes her eyes as she drifts off to sleep.
