All of the young children sat around the old man, their eyes filled with wonder. what stories he told! And tonight, he would tell them about the Others. “Listen closely, little ones” mused the man. “ Tonight, you will hear about our Other ancestors, the ones who left us. It is true. I was there.” The man turned. he saw the little grey-haired boy, his hand wriggling in the air. “Yes, Myrr?” He asked. “A-Are we going to hear about the morphics tonight?” The boy asked, eyes widening. The man chuckled. “ yes Myrr, we are.””anyways” He continued. “There once was a group of scientists, known as Magma, that could feel something was coming, by testing many vibration scanners and exploring the world, They deduced that a super-volcano would explode, and end the world as they knew it.” The children gasped at this.”The scientists put up advertisements, but at first, no one came. Then people started getting sick.” His face became darker.”A smoke would come into their lungs, killing them in hours. They had no cure.”. “People became desperate. they came to the scientists, begging them for help. more people came to them, begging for help, then never coming back.” his face saddened. “My.... sister died. My mother yelled at me. “We’re going, I don’t care if Magma kills us! I can’t stand it here!” I couldn’t leave my sister, though. Only twenty of us were left at the end. We all could feel the tremors in the Earth. The Titus Volcano, as we called it, was actually moving. A Volcano!! Moving!!” Most of the children rolled their eyes, but Myrr leaned in, listening intently. “A lot of us were good Scientists, so we built shelters from the lava, but we wondered. If Magma left, why did they leave? why didn’t they do what we’re doing? Is something else coming? But we might never know. But the Volcano came. We had just all been secured in our Shelters, as a practice, when the sky started to shake our buildings were all magma proof, thanks to Magma. We got out all right, but we were wary. In three days time, our wariness had worn off, and the ground started to shake.” Then, the man started to snore. “AW, MAN!!!” Cried one boy, large with brown hair. All of the children’s parents cowed them home, except for the boy, Myrr. The man opened one eye, a spark of mischief twinkling. “They’re gone” laughed Myrr. The man smiled. “Where was I?”. “The earth was shaking!” replied Myrr excitedly. “Well, we can skip that, I made that up” Laughed Sapias. Myrr smirked. Sapias was always nice. He was glad he was his guardian. His parents had left him as a baby at Sapias’s Doorstep, and Sapias took him in as his son.”Anyways, the Anthroes rampaged the labs belonging to Magma, Only to find them as if they had never been used. They made them into a museum.” Myrr stared straight ahead, prossesing the story. “So.... They just left?”. Myrr asked. “A-And never came back?”. “Yes, except for one note they left.” Sapias Continued. “It said. ‘We wait for the Miracle’”. “Wow” Myrr sighed, Obviously daydreaming. “Time to go home, Myrr.” Sapias from up ahead, Myrr blinked, Then followed Sapias, saying “I wonder what they meant by ‘Miracle’. “I don’t know Myrr, but maybe, You’ll find out”.
