You gasped, beads of sweat sliding down your face. A cold rush of air brushed your arms as goosebumps protruded from them. You could faintly recall your nightmare, unknown beings surrounded your paralyzed body. Their screams weren't blood-curdling, rather, pleading and desperate. Who were they? Their features somewhat matched yours, they looked at you with sadness and tenderness. You feel like you've seen them before but you don't seem to remember them.
You feel a hand caress your waist, looking down you see a man. He had grown, brown, dishevelled locks and a handsome, carved face. His eyes opened slightly as he spoke, his voice deep and raspy "Doll... You okay?". He adjusted himself onto his elbows, his eyes fully opening showing his piercing, icy blue eyes. You smiled gently and replied, "Of course. I'm with you." You placed your hand on his cheek, his stubble skimmed your palm as you did so. You admired this man with all your heart. He grinned back at you causing the corners of his eyes to wrinkle and his cheeks to flush red, his dopey grin made your heart flutter. You placed a gentle kiss on his forehead before sliding the covers off of you and standing. You glanced at the clock, it read 6:47 am. Sighing, you stretched an arm up whilst the other clasped its elbow. Whilst you roamed to the window, you could hear the creaking of the bed and the subtle drop of the blanket. You were suddenly stopped in your tracks as two arms pulled you back and swaddled around your waist. A head rested on your shoulder, the familiar stubble swept your collar bone. "Come back to bed, it's too early." he whimpered. Again with the endearing morning voice, you found so adorably irresistible. Leaning your forehead into his hair and smiling you replied, "I'm too awake now." As the words slipped out of your mouth, the grasp around your body tightened. Which earned a soft chuckle from your lips. "Bucky..." You whined playfully as your person was suddenly turned around. All you could see was rings of pale azure eyes with black dilating pupils.
Whenever you see those stunning orbs of what seems to be endless oceans, fear disappears and all you can think of is him. Him and everything that he is. The one you fell in love with, the one you know won't ever leave you. Nonetheless, you still had a bittersweet feeling lurking in your stomach.
Why?
"What are you thinking about?" He pulled you closer, staring back at you with speculation. He had seen the worry on your face, you were never one to be good at hiding your emotions. All you could do was smile at him and answer "Nothing." There was something off, he knew it. Yet, he put his doubts at bay and continued, swaying around slowly, taking you with him. "Well, if that's the case." He spun you quickly, making sure to never lose sight of you. "We should go dancing sometime. Like this." His hands found their way to your waist, clutching it as if he could lose you at any moment. He placed his forehead onto yours as you nodded. A sense of tranquillity washed over you, soaking every second of this moment. It felt like years had passed when a knock at your door and an alert from F.R.I.D.A.Y alarmed you.
