Hermione pov - At 5 pm (start of the ball)
I would be fashionable late. Just like in a lot of those movies Draco and I had watched. I would have a lot of attention pointed at me. I hate that, but in this case I wouldn't have it any other way. I got to see the smirks getting slapped off my cousins faces.
When I walked in the ballroom of 'Serpentia' I already gained some attention. Not even after 2 minutes everyone's face was turned to me. I looked around in the ballroom searching for my cousins and the rest of my family.
Only my cousins would be utterly shocked, especially Annabelle. But she needed to get her feet back at the ground right now. As I walk down the stairs (A/N yes I'm making it extra dramatic, just because I can) you could hear 'wow, who is she?' and 'I need that dress, it looks like she grabbed it out of a fairytale'.
But there was only one sound that made her smirk grew over her smile :
"Buck Tooth beaver?????" It was my aunt Eliza, her jaw as almost at the floor if uncle Marc didn't tell her to close her mouth. It was hard for me not to start laughing at her. I mean, my whole life she was embarrassing me and now it was my turn.
Once I got down the stairs, my smirk immediately fell. I spotted a raven-black haired man, there was only one person with that hair style and I was sure it was him, because he was accompanied by a woman with almost red hair.
It was Harry and Ginny, or how my husband loved to call them 'The boy who couldn't take a hint and die' and 'Weaslette'. The nicknames were original, that was sure, but how come they were here?
Blaise must have seen the panic attack on my face, he came running to me. "Hermione, what's wrong?" I couldn't bring out a word so I just pointed towards the couple. "Ow, sh*t" Blaise just ran off, I guess he was running towards Draco.
I was near a panic attack when Draco came close to me and said his parents would just give a speech instead of him, not mentioning me and Draco. Draco pulled me in a private spot.
"Mia, calm down please, it's not healthy for you or the baby. I'll just join you at breakfast tomorrow, I checked the Potters reservations and they are reserved only until tonight, that would mean they have to check out before 10 pm." He says reassured.
"Okay but I'm gonna say hi to them... Or wait no, that would ruin our plan for the Hogwarts reunion... Draco, what should I do??" I ask him, panic rising in my voice.
"You should calm down first. Don't go say hi, it would, indeed, ruin our surprise at the Hogwarts reunion. I'm going down to my parents, if your cousins ask you something about your husband not showing up just say it was work. Okay?"
"Thanks Dray" I give him a quick peck on the lips before running out of the secluded spot. He pulled me back just before I was out.
"Mia, by the way, you look gorgeous in that dress." he tells me with a wink and smirk. I smile at him and walk out.
Not even two minutes later Christiana and Annabelle show up. It wasn't fashionably late, it was way too late. They were late by an hour and half. I don't think their dresses could be more slutty. They walk up to me and start asking me things about where my husband was.
"And where is your famous husband now, beaver?"
"So you did imagine him!"
"No, he called me at 4 this afternoon. He and his parents still had to do a lot of work but he'd be joining us tomorrow morning. He'll be there for sure." And there is my Malfoy smirk. I'm back in the game.
The night passes by pretty quick, for me though. When I saw Draco enter the suite, he thought about it otherwise.
My cousins had been all over him from when they arrived until he left. Not even 5 minutes after me. Subtle wasn't the word I would use for leaving so close after each other.
"Your cousins, Mia, couldn't you warn me? They are bad when everyone is with you, probably more when they're alone with, but hell Mia. Now I get why you call them worse than Voldemort. I swear those two could be his daughters."
I start laughing again. "I did warn you, you just didn't listen..."
He looks at me and smiles. "Did you have a fun night?"
"Sort of... You really calmed me down back there. It ruined our plan but it saved both if you know what I mean."
"And how is the little apple doing" he starts talking to my stomach. I just smile at him. "Little apple is doing fine, although little apple really wants to cuddle up with you tonight." I answer him. "And I got some big news too by the way."
He looks up surprised. "Didn't we have enough surprises for today?"
"Yes we did for yesterday since it's midnight..."
"What's the big news?" He says while he grabs an apple which makes me smile brighter than ever before today.
"Can I have an apple too please?"
"You already have one, Mia"
"Can't I have 2? I really want an apple" I say with pouting. I know he can't say no to me with a pouting face.
"Alright you can have another one" he says as he throws a green apple my way. I smile at his words. "Now what's the big news?"
"Don't you want 2 apples?"
"Why would I want 2 apples if I already got a green one?"
"Don't get too overprotective, will you?"
"Where is this conversation going Mia?"
"Well I might have three apples at the moment." I say and look up to him.
He looks back confused "What do you mean, you got three apples -" he stops in the middle of his sentence and looks up at me with a bright smile "We're having twins???" I nod as a reply. He just picks me up and turns me around laughing.
"That was really a ball full of surprises" he says when he puts me down and pulls me in a passionate kiss.
