Second Chapter

It was already past noon, while you were sitting down on your sofa, eating lunch. Out of the blue, you heard a ring from the door buzzer. You picked up your plate and brought it over to the kitchen counter, then, rushed over to the door.

You pressed the button on the buzzer. "Hello?" you answered, your voice cracking.

"Hey, Y/N," the person from the other end of the buzzer responded. It was Luis. "I just came here to check up on you. Vanessa is here with me too."

"Oh, okay," you said, "I'll let you guys in." You pressed a button on the buzzer, which unlocked the main doors.

Vanessa was another friend of yours. Well, she was a good friend of Luis'. You didn't really know her too well. You've met her once or twice at work, but recently after you had gotten the job, she was no longer working there. You had no idea what had happened, and you didn't ask. It was none of your business anyway. What you did notice, however, was that Luis seemed very worried after she had left. It was almost if he was troubled with her leaving. Maybe he was worried for her?

Eventually, there was a knock at the door, and you dashed over to it. You opened the door, and were greeted by two people. One of them being Luis, and the other being Vanessa.

Vanessa had light skin and long blonde wavy hair that was tied up in a ponytail. Her eyes shined like emeralds, which illuminated the freckles along her rosy cheeks. Her features were quite pretty.

"Hey, guys," you greeted them.

"Hey, Y/N," Luis answered, "How are you doing?"

"I'm doing pretty well," you replied, "How about you?" You looked between the two of them, allowing them to come into your home.

"We're doing good," Luis verified for the both of them. "Y/N, I'm sure you met, Ness."

"Please, call me Vanny," Vanessa claimed as she held out her hand to you, which you gladly shook. She had a sweet, delicate voice that was calming to listen too. She glanced at you with sorrowful eyes. "I'm so sorry about your job."

"It's fine," you smiled warmly, "Thanks, though." You looked between the two of them. "Would you like to sit down?" you questioned, pointing behind yourself. Both Luis and Vanessa followed you over to your living room, where you allowed them to sit on the couch, and you sat on the arm chair besides them. "You guys want something to drink?"

The two declined the offer and you nodded. The three of you sat in silence for a few moments, before Luis took in a deep breath then looked back at you.

"I thought it was best to bring Ness here to see you, because she dealt with the same issue at work," Luis informed sorrowfully.

So, that's what happened. Your eyes went wide, "I'm so sorry," you apologized to Vanessa.

"It's no worries," she assured, "I've been transferred over to the new Freddy's."

That's exactly what happened to me! You sat up in your chair, leaning your elbows on your knees. "What are doing there, exactly?" you quizzed.

"I'm a security guard during the day," Vanessa explained.

"Me too!" you beamed, "Except I'm working at night."

"Wow," Vanessa grinned, "What a strange coincidence."

"I know right. Honestly, I've never heard of the place before. What's it like?" you jabbered, "Is it fun?" You were getting all too excited about this new job. In all honesty, after watching the commercial, you were pretty intrigued.

"Yeah, it's pretty cool," Vanessa chuckled, "Have you ever heard of the original Freddy Fazbear's Pizza?"

"I have. I've been to Fazbear's Fright before, but never to a pizzeria."
