Hermione's POV

I was walking down my hallway after finally convincing Draco to get in the shower and start getting ready. I had to all but push him into it with him grumbling the whole way. Having already taken a shower myself, I decided to just throw  on one of his jumpers laying on the chair next to the bed and put on some warm socks in lieu of getting dressed for the day. Getting dressed with wet hair is a big pet peeve of mine, with good reason. My hair is so thick that when I get dressed before its dry it ends up soaking the back of my shirt, which drives me mad. Of course, there are quick drying spells but they always make my hair extra frizzy so I try not to use them as much as I can, therefore I will wear Draco's jumper until it's dry.

I was running my hands through my wet locks, attempting to get rid of some of the tangles already present when I looked up and saw Ron standing in the middle of my living room. I jumped and clutched my chest, letting out a small squeal at the shock. I saw his eyes dart down to look at my exposed thighs. I blushed slightly at being this exposed and he looked up and gave me this grin that I have been seeing him use on me more and more over the last few weeks. I did not like it one bit.

"Ron! What are you doing here?!"

"I- um came to surprise you?" He said nervously, his eyes still flicking down to my thighs every few seconds. I walked into the kitchen, letting the island work as a barrier between us. Ron's lips twitched into a small frown when he could no longer see my legs and I had to hold in my eye roll.

"Well congrats, I am effectively surprised." I said dryly, picking up the pot of coffee I had started earlier to pour myself a glass. "Would you like a cup?" I asked, remembering the manners my mother taught me.

"Oh- uh. Yes please." He seemed nervous and his eyes kept sweeping around the room. "This is a really nice place."

I grabbed 2 mugs from the cupboard and filled them up before handing him one of them. I motioned for him to sit on the chair next to him and I came around the island and leaned against it.

"Thank you. I think it's far to big, but the view and massive library worked to convince me." I replied with a shrug, smiling at the memory of the first time Draco had shown me the penthouse. We got in a fight, me saying it was to much space for just two people and Draco saying he was used to a certain lifestyle and saw no reason for changing it. I was close to walking out when he showed me the in-home library and then I was immediately sold. I shook myself out of the memory and watched Ron over the lip of my coffee mug.

"What's going on Ron? Is something wrong with the family?" I asked, starting to get worried.

"Oh no! Nothing like that." He said quickly and a small blush grew on his face. "I wanted to ask you something, actually." I nodded for him to continue and I heard the shower turn off. Ron didn't seem to notice, to absorbed in what he was about to ask me.

"I was hoping you would want to, that is if your not busy of course, you'd want to spend the day together?" He asked, the words in a race to get out of his mouth. I stood surprised for a few seconds. It sounded like he was trying to ask me out on a date, but surely that can't be it, right?

"Im sorry Ron, I actually do have plans today." I said gently. His face seemed to fall and he looked at his shoes before giving me another hopeful look.

"Well what about just dinner then? We can go to that nice new restaurant in Diagon Alley?" I grimaced a little and opened my mouth to respond before I was interrupted by Draco.

"Mia? Have you seen my jumper? I swear I put it on the chair." He called from the bedroom down the hall. Ron's face lit up in surprise, clearly not expecting someone else to be here. I looked down at said jumper that I was currently wearing.
