"Lady Lunaria..... Lady Lunaria.... please wake up" i groaned as the sun's ray hit my messy face, i slowly got up, stretched my arms and yawned.
"Morning Lizbeth" I greeted to my maid who gave me a warm smile. She helped me to prepare to start the day like helping me to wash myself, helping me put my clothes on and telling me all of my schedules for the day.
"My lady, today your schedules are having breakfast with your parents by 8, a meeting with you piano instructor by 9, studying by 11, lunch by 12......" I obviously nod at those. Not to brag but my father is a nobleman, it is because of his diligent work that his territory prosper much more that of the other noblemen's. That is why the people leaving in our land loves him. I myself, being the only child and a daughter needs to study every noble culture for my future husband who will soon be the one to lead my family. I am a scholar at a prestigious noble school, we do have the money to pay for the tuition but I insisted to take the scholarship so that I wouldn't bother my parents with my studies.
"...And lastly, an afternoon tea with your fiancé, Prince Kiero" oh right.... I am betrothed to the first prince, the king trust my father so much that they thought of making me marry the King's first son, Prince Kiero, I don't hate him but I don't like being a prisoner of my own blood as well. I dreamt of a love, love that can be seen through stories, love beyond the boundaries, love against all choices. But sadly, my fate is already written.
I did as what my schedule says in the morning, I honestly looked forward to the time where I can study because it's the only time where I can have a time for myself.
"I will be back to fetch you by 12, lady Lunaria." I nod as Lizbeth, a cue for her to leave and close the door of my study room, there's nothing much to study today for I did finished a lot yesterday.
"I will just read a book then." I stood from my seat and went to the neatly arranged shelves full of various books. One have caught my eyes, a book that I never seen before. I pulled the book covered in plain red from the shelf, I read the title as I open the cover.
"The Legend of the Red Moon." I went back to my seat and flipped another page. I read the beginning of the book aloud, feeling like it's a normal thing to do.
"There once was a tale about the red moon. Once up the sky, chaos will break out but the guardian of the red moon never wanted chaos and so she bear her heiress. Legends say that whenever chaos arise, a heiress will be chosen to be sacrificed in the night of a red moon. Her heart will stop the chaos and peace shall rise again...." my heart began beating so fast, is this a real deal? I feel like what is said from the book was real. But it's merely impossible... The last war ended a 100 years ago, maybe this is just another myth to scare the kids so that they won't grow into war loving adults. I closed the book and put it back to where I got it. That is a terrifying book... A heart of a maiden for peace. That's just nonsense...
Knock knock knock
I nearly jumped when i heard a number of knocks from my study room's door, Lizbeth came into view as soon as the door opened.
"My lady, lunch is serv-- are you alright, Lady Lunaria? You're as pale as snow, did something happened here?" I shake my head to her question.
"Nothing, but time sure flies by, it's already 12?" This time she's the one shaking her head.
"We have a change of plans, my lady. The king has arrived and he brought his two son, your father requested for your presence immediately " oh... so that's why... but wait, the king brought even the second prince? Here? How odd...
DINING AREA
"Her ladyship has arrived." With Lizbeth's cue, I stepped out to the dining room, Lizbeth helped me to quickly change my outfit into appropriate ones so I can meet the royal family with dignity, my seat is across my betrothed, Prince Kiero, who gave me a smile whom i smiled back to. Beside him is a man with no emotions written on his face, this is both the first and second time that I met the second Prince, Prince Kiello. I first met him at a masquerade ball that the royal family hosted, but he never took off his mask so this is the first time that I can see his whole face, i just stopped analysing the second prince's face when my father cleared his throat. We all looked at him.
