"Today is the day I turn thirteen", I say to myself still sitting in bed. A few minutes later my Mom and Dad walk in with food on a tray, and say, "We made your favorite! Waffles with butter and blueberry syrup!" Thank you, I reply. They sit the tray down, and tell me to come down stairs when I'm ready to open presents. I then brush out my hair, and rush down stairs. I was hoping there would be a lot of presents, but there was only one. It was very large. My parents looked at me and said, "We're sorry, the price of this gift was very high. We couldn't afford anything else." It's fine! Something is better than nothing! I reply. After opening it, I realize that it is a laptop! "I've wanted one of these for years! Thank you!!" I say to my parents. After we are done, we eat cake and ice cream. You are probably wondering why I don't have any family or friends over. Well, I don't have any friends, and the rest of my family never has time for anyone but themselves. So, I always spend my days alone, with my parents. Although it's not so bad being the only child. I don't have to worry about sharing a room, or fighting 24/7! After we were all done eating, I brushed my teeth and went to bed. I had a great day today! But, tomorrow, will be better!
