Chapter 1: just like a dream came true

Where I live, it's not just earth. I was born in Flyleswings, a magical and safe place where only fairies, witches and foxes live, and humans, we call them 'the normals' they don't live here. We are not just normal, we need to learn how to use our magic and how to control them.

That's why today im going to Whistvenia, a school to learn your magic grow. My name is Hope Evergreen and I'm almost 17, which means I can go and attend it this year. My parents are both fairies so normally, I am going to be one of them.
The painful part is: My powers haven't developed yet. But mom said it's a normal thing, because it develops around the age of 16-17 but still, is it going to be weird if
I am the only one without powers in my school?

I don't want to imagine the nicknames I am going to get. Oh no this is going to be a disaste-
""Hope , come here." And there you have her, "yes mom i'm coming."
"Are you ready to leave, do you have everything?"
"Yes mom, before I leave I'm going to Grace we're going together to Whistvenia."
"Do you have all your suitcases ?"
Mom looked at me while I turned around and rolled my eyes.

"Yes mom, I have." I said a bit annoyed.
"Okey, have fun but not to much, and mail me every weekend I want to know how much it changed okay? Love you." She made her way to me and wrapped her arms around me, forming a hug.
"Love you to mom." I giggled and hugged her back while smiling.

"Hey there you are." Grace said while looking at me with a relieved look in her eyes.
"Sorry I almost forgot my suitcases." I sighed while putting a strand of hair behind my ear.
" okay, ready to experience the best years in our life?" Grace cheered.
"Yes, I am !" I yelled enthusiastically, but still a bit unsure about it all.
"I am sure you're gonna get your powers soon, I practiced the whole winter on my powers and I think I'm a hiyah."Grace said confident.
I took my diary from my backpack.
"You still have that diary? When are you gonna get rid of that thing?" While she rolled her eyes at me.

"It's important for me, I write everyting in this book."
"Hope?"
"Grace?"
"Okay, if that stupid thing so important is, then it is okay."
Said Grace with a sigh.
"Thank you." I smiled And couldn't stop dreaming about Whistvenia. My dreams finally came true.

"What is that?" Said Grace questioningly.
"Ow that, it's just a stone in the chape of a luno, mom gave it to me just for good luck."
"That's not just a stone! That's the stone of light." Said Grace really loud. "What? I'm confused, what is it?"
"My mom told me about it, it protects you from dark magic."
Grace said while she went through her book.

"Okay, here it is our new adventure. Are you excited?" Asked Grace. I was really quiet for a second. It was like a white paradise. Something really magical, something that doesn't exists, but it was right there in front of my eyes.
"Hope, everything okay?"
"Yeah.. yeah sure."
We went through the school barrier and it felt like everyting was a new chapter. A chapter where I can start over and learn new thing, and hopefully I finally gonna know what my powers are.

There were so many people. We went to the information-hour for the first years, where Professor Gale the school monitor told us what lessons we got and when we learn what power each had. After that hour we went to our suites, and hopefully I'll share a suite with Grace, if not then I'm gonna freak out because Grace is just my best friend, a sister I never had, a second me who understands who I am. "We have guests." said a girl named Mazu. "Hi I am Mazu, Mazu Reid. And these are: Philotes Walkway, Avril Grazer and Hayden Wilders." said Mazu while she pointed at the girls."Hi I am Hope Evergreen, and this is my best friend Grace Thornton."
"Hi guys." said Grace. "So i think we're gonna share a suite together." Said Philotes easily. I went to the room where my name was on it, and actually I shared a room with Mazu, really cool.

Dear diary,
It's fantastic here, so much magic and fairies and witches and foxes.. you know what i mean. I have a new roommate, hope she doesn't snore like Grace does haha. Tomorrow I have my first lessons, but first finding out what I am. What if I'm nothing, what if Im just a human, would they make fun of me? I'm so scared, help me..

Mazu knocked on the door. "Hey, are you ready to go?"
"Where are we going?" I said comfused.
"We are going to get dinner in the cafeteria, are you coming?"
"Yeah sure, just a minute."

I think i need to go. I'm going to have dinner with some new friends and knowing them, because they are my roommates eventually.
"HOPE!" Screamed Grace loud out.
"COMING!"
We walked to the cafeteria and grabbed some food. There was only 6 seats left by a boys table. It's the only chance to make other friends . Shy but confident we walked up to the table and tried to interdict ourself.
"Uhm- Hello?" Philotes started.
Grace nudged me, mean I should continue, hesitated at first but did it anyway.
"Can we sit here, there is no other space anymore."
There was a really cute boy with blond hair and blue eyes who stared at me for the whole time.
"Yeah sure." He said nervous.
We sat down next to them and I started to bounce my leg nervously. He sat next to me and looked at me a little weird.
"What's your name?" He said.
"Hope, Hope Evergreen. Yours?" I said shy and shaking with my hand.
"Raven Gale, Nice to meet you hope."
And we shaked hands.
