Quite the troublesome luggage you've taken on. Shion was already half asleep when Nezumi entered the room. He quickly threw on a shirt before joining his lover in bed. 'Wha-' Shion's eyes squinted a little while Nezumi took him in his arms. 'It's okay, you can go back to sleep' Nezumi whispered. Shion murmured a little before obeying. 'Shion' Nezumi woke him up again 'What is it?' Shion mumbled 'I-' fuck, get it together 'I'll understand if you want to stay here' Shion looked up, his soft hair tickling Nezumi's neck and chin 'Do you?' 'Do I what?' 'Want to stay here?' Shion asked him. No 'I don't know' 'You mean 'no'' Shion replied. Nezumi groaned 'Let's just go to sleep' he muttered and closed his eyes. But Shion wasn't ready to give up yet 'Nezumi' 'What' Nezumi's voice sounded more harsh than he'd intended. Shion hesitated a second before continuing 'I don't want to be separate from you anymore. So wherever you decide to go, I'll go there too' wha- Nezumi was dumbfounded. 'Shion' 'Yeah?' 'I want you to listen to me, because I'm only going to say this once' he put his fingers beneath his lover's chin and gently forced him to look up at him 'I'm listening' Shion whispered 'I love you Shion, I love you. Whatever we face, we'll face together. I won't ever leave you alone again, I promise' 'I love you too' Shion slowly started crying. Nezumi tightened his grip 'Go to sleep now, my sweet one. I'll wake you in the morning' Nezumi lovingly stroked Shion's hair, lulling him to sleep. And only after Shion's gentle snoring filled the room, did his own tears come.
We can't return to the past. We can't take back all the moments we've spent crying, mourning or laughing. We can't take back the innocence that we used to have, or the happiness that used to come without conditions. But we can move forward. And that, we can do together.
Once upon a time, there were two stars that found each other in a starless sky.
