Pleasant Hill. Oregon. Three years ago.
You stood there with your hand in your pockets. In your other hand was the paperwork for the rundown house that was now in your name. While the real estate agent was hesitant about selling a home to a 22 year old, but you had the cash.
And no one really batted an eye at the bruises on your face. Nadia has already gotten to work with befriending everyone in town too. You kinda saw that one coming a mile away.
You pulled the key out of your pocket as a car pulled up to the house. It wasn't anything special or new. But it was yours and Nadia's.
Nadia: You heading in?
She closed the car door with a bag of groceries in her arms. You took a bag to help her out and smiled.
Y/N: Yeah. Together?
Nadia smiled as she linked her arm with yours.
Nadia: Together.
And so, you stepped forward I your new lives. Into the future that you would create together.
And it was beautiful before it all fell apart.
Our Sweet Life
You let out a yawn as you slowly painted the wall of the living room. It has now been a full week since you moved in and everything was finally coming together. While you have been busy with painting and fixing, Nadia has been decorating and socializing.
You had gotten a job over at the mechanic shop. It pays well and you were good at it. So good, in fact, that you had already gotten yourself loyal costumers. People who would come in and ask for you.
Nadia was working at the pharmacy over at main street. The ladies down there just fell in love with her. Her bright smile also had a habit of attracting customers. Though there has already been instances of some of the younger men in town going in and trying to hit on her.
You set the brush down in the tray and stepped back to admire the blue wall. Nadia picked the color, surprisingly. You placed your hands on your hips and smiled. You were getting good at this.
Nadia: It looks good.
You turned around to see Nadia walk into the house. She took her coat off and walked over to look at the room with you.
Nadia: Not bad, Y/N.
You stood there proudly.
Y/N: Yeah. How was work?
And just like that, Nadia lit up. She smiled brightly and you couldn't help but smile as well. Even after being together for four years, she somehow had a way to make your day a bit brighter.
Nadia: It was great! I really like it here. Everyone is just so nice.
She looked down at your chest and leaned in a bit closer as she placed a finger on you. She had that teasing smile on her.
Nadia: But, maybe you and me can talk about it more in the shower?
You weren't against the idea. No, never. But you also wanted to get dinner started.
Y/N: Maybe next time. I gotta prepare the chicken.
Nadia nodded and spotted your brush that was in the tray. She walked over to it and you watched as she dipped it in the paint. She made her way back to you and lifted the brush. She then tapped your nose so that it was now a blue color.
Nadia: Oh no. Looks like you should get clean.
You looked at her unamused.
Y/N: I have to make dinner.
