Chapter 1

~Chapter 1- You only live once Mira

~ 4 years later~

"Let me go!!!" I screamed.

"No! We are giving you a warning you murderer. We can't let you kill and run away with it. How dare you kill us?" I heard them ask.

"No no no! I didn't mean to do it I swear. If I could turn back the clock, I'll make sure that I died instead if you and dad."

My dad slapped me, "liar! You could have done that a while ago but, you didn't."

I wailed, "I swear it! I've always gone to visit you and mum, I always go to the hospital every week to see Austin and, I always try the best I can do to find Allison. I've been trying to get Austin to wake up and, to bring Allison back. I didn't mean it."

Austin spoke up, "Shut up you murderer!" Alison grinned wickedly then, they all came unto me started beating me.

"Almira?"

"Wake up!"

"You are better than you know dear!"

I kept hearing distant voices of my aunty, uncle and Alma? After the beating, I saw demons taking me and dragging me to the darkness.

"No!!! Please let me go!!! I didn't mean what happened! I'm so sorry!" I wailed.

"Shut up! You are going to meet our master" one demon said. I tried everything I could but, they were faster. I didn't know what happened because, I felt a splash of water on me.

"Ahhhhhhh!" I woke up screaming.

I looked around and saw Aunt Aline, uncle Thoris and Alma.

"I-I-I'm s-so so sorry for waking you all up again."

Aunt Aline looked at me with sadness while, uncle Thoris said, "Don't be silly Almira. We are always here for you."

I tried to give them a smile which I'm sure looked more like a wince, "It's fine now. I'm fine now. You all can go back to bed."

Aunt Aline shook her head and replied, "You can't keep on doing this to yourself child."

"And you can't keep on poking around in my business aunt" I retorted harshly even though I didn't intend to. She visibly flinched and uncle Thoris and Alma looked like they had a thing or two to tell me but, aunt Aline raised a hand to stop them.

"You can be saucy all you want Almira but, you are going to meet Liz on Tuesday which is tomorrow" she sternly told me.

"I don't need a shrink"

"True, you don't. What you need is Lisa."

"You need to stop acting as if you are my mother because, you are not!" I said.

"I know that plus, you tend to remind me almost every day." You know, that moment when you feel like you got caught stealing something? That's exactly how I feel at the moment.

"What's the time?" I decided to change the topic.

"A little after three" Alma answered.

"Well then, you all should go back to bed" I said dismissively.

"Plus, Alma you have school later today and aunt and uncle you have to go to work."

Alma rolled her eyes, "In case you have forgotten Al, it is we. WE HAVE TO GO TO SCHOOL."

I glared at her, "I'm not going"

Uncle Thoris gave me his 'dad eye' and said, "You are"

"Can't I just continue home schooling? I've always been good at it. I score good grades.
